Good Afternoon Ladies,
I am here for another round of Joans Tag Week ...You can see the challenge and entries here... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/11/this-weeks-challenge_29.html
My tag this afternoon is an Aussie dog tag....
To create this tag I started with a manilla tag as a base. I covered it in Tim Holtz card stock from the Christmas stack and card stock from the Echo Park pack. I stamped my aussie in black on white card stock. I then embossed it with clear embossing powder. I hand cut this out. My flower and leaf were created using a Heartfelt Creations stamp set that I purchased at Joans. I love this stamp company. Their stamps are out of this world cool! To finish this tag off I added ribbon to the bottom of the tag that matches the tie.
A closer look.

Joans Challenge Tag Week
Good Morning Ladies,
I am up and at it. Dogs have been let out and fed. They are now waiting for me to finish this post so they can have their second round out. I will be at a dog show this weekend. I am not showing but it will be fun.
It's Joans Challenge Tag Week over at http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/11/this-weeks-challenge_29.html So click on the link and come join us.
The requirements for this week is to created tags and they must use at least one thing you can purchase at Joan's. Fairly easy since this is my favorite place to shop. And Joan has the coolest dies around!
Here is my first entry.... Poodle Window Tag....
I created this tag starting with a manillia tag base. The tag base was covered in Tim Holtz Broken China Distressed Stain. It was swiped in streaks over the tag. You can buy distressed stain at Joan's. I then stamped snowflakes randomly on the background using a tim holtz distressed ink pad. Joan has these also. My poodle dog was stamped on bristol paper from the art dept. and colorized with prisma pencil and gamsol. He was then hand cut. A piece of dsp from lost and found was cut with a Cheery Lynn die from Joan's. I placed this piece over the stained and stamped tag base. I added a little stickles at the bottom of the window to create frost. The poodle was then popped up in front of the window. Rolled flowers cut from a Memory Box dies were created to finish this tag off. The rolled flower dies can also be purchased at Joan's.
This is a second view just a little closer.
I love making tags and have not done many as of late. Tags give you a chance to try out new products and ideas in a smaller format. What a great challenge! Thanks Joan and Selma!

SU Rose ornament
Good Morning Ladies,
Dave is sick with a cold. So I slept on the sofa last night trying to escape the germs. I am hoping that it works.
Today I have created a SU Rose ornament .
To create this ornament I started with the SU ornament bundle. I stamped and die cut each petal of the ornament. Each petal is three images put together to make one. I placed these on a spellbinder die cut base. Tulle was added. Store twine was added in loops. I cut ivy vines from a Cheery Lynn die for the next element. I topped this ornament off with a rolled rose for the center.
This is a side view.

Joans Card Week New Leash
Good Afternoon Ladies,
One more card for card week over at http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/11/happy-thanksgiving-to-you-all.html
Joans Card Week New Leash is my card.....
To start this card I choose an image from the now out of business Hannah Stamps. I don't know what happened to this company but I loved their stamps. I stamped her on bristol paper. I colorized her with prisma pencil, gamsol, and spica pens. This panel was seated on a purple glitter card stock panel. It was then placed on a pink shimmery panel. The pink checkered was tied around the purple panel only. And of course rolled flowers top this card off. I do love those rolled flowers. The die is from Memory Box. I get joy from making them.

Labrador Dog Christmas Wreath
Good Morning Ladies,
I was out and about yesterday. I went and shopped small business Saturday yesterday with my great niece, my mom, my sister, my cousin, and a friend. I had a good time. La Porte has a lot of small businesses to shop. Oh the wonderment of my eyes. I saw the most awesome large standing Anna Lee reindeer at the UP Town shoppes. I did not buy it. But I did find the sweetest Anna Lee angel. She came home with me and will be happy up on the mantle with all of the other Anna Lees this Christmas!
I have a Labrador Dog Christmas Wreath for you this morning....
This wreath was created using a Labrador dog from a play set. He sits at the bottom of the wreath. I wrapped dog bone twill ribbon around the wreath. Next I added some of my handcrafted rolled flowers. These flowers are spritzed with red smootch. A ribbon and bells top this wreath off.
A closeup of the dog.
You can find this wreath for sale at the Co-op Shoppes in La Porte in booth #25.

Joans Card Week Life
Good Morning Ladies,
The chill is in the air. The dogs are liking it much more than me. They are frisky! I remember how frisky my horses used to be at this time of year. Me I'm just cold.
This week at Joans Card Week Life it's all about cards....any theme...just cards.... I have created yet another card for this week. The link is here http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/11/happy-thanksgiving-to-you-all.html Go check out all the glorious cards.
Here is my card....
No not a Christmas card....but a bright card. To create this card I stamped my image on teal blue card stock. I can't tell you who this image is from as it is in a plain clear wrapper. Wish I knew. I outlined the inside of the image with a star dust pen. I then cut it with a spellbinder die set and layered it with another. The other color of this card does not show true. It is more melon than orange. I cut a square layer and punched the corners with a Martha Stewart punch around the page set. I also used this set to punch the side element. My butterfly is cut using a Cheery Lynn die that can be purchased at Joan's. Pearls top this card off.
This is the inside of the card.

Joans Challenge Recycle Leg Cotton Wrapper
Hello Ladies,
I am creating late tonight. Or is it morning. Well ...It's just past midnight. This is it for me. Then it's off to bed.
I have another card for Joans Challenge Recycle Leg Cotton Wrapper .... You can check the challenge out here.... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/11/this-weeks-challenge_15.html
Here is my entry....
For this card my recycle item is the water. It was formerly a leg cotton wrapper from work. I work at a vet's office. I took the wrapper and wadded it up several times. I then tore it into long strips to create water. My image is from Eat Cake Graphics. It was stamped on Bristol board and colorized with Prisma pencil, Gamsol, and Copic markers. The clouds are cut from a die from Memory Box. You can purchase this die at Joans. My sun was created using the Cheery Lynn die set build a flower one. You can also purchase this at Joans Gardens. I had purchased the build a flower one die when it came out. I used it for an ornament center the other day. I need a sun for this card. As I was looking through my dies it caught my eye. I said to myself "I can make a cool sun out of this die!" Well it worked perfect. You never know what you can do with a die when you purchase it. You just have to think out of the box sometimes.

Lagoon Blue Ornament
Good Morning Ladies,
The fog was intense last night. It fell quickly and silently. Safe travels for all in this area this morning. I have been keeping my hands busy creating for Christmas. Many of my creations are ready for you at the co-op shoppes in La Porte, IN. There are many other wonderful things there to choose from.
Here is another creation... Lagoon Blue Ornament
This ornament was made with a SU christmas bundle. I also used a spellbinder die and a cheery lynn die to create the snowflake center. A score board was used to crease the petals of this ornament. Jingle bells tied up with bakers twine top this ornament off.
A side view.

Good Morning Ladies,

Old Fashioned Ornament
Good Morning Ladies,
I spent the weekend at a scrapbook/stamping event. My mom and friends were there and we had a great time. I did get a couple of thing finished.
My mom and I received our stamp order from Becky. It took me a little while to work into cracking it open and creating with the new stamps and dies. But once I did wow!
Here is an Old Fashioned Ornament I made with some of the stamps and dies.

Rejoice Cross Ornament
Good Morning Ladies,
I am up and getting ready to go to a crop. I am making chili and getting packed up. I love this crop. It's only five bucks a day and you bring a dish. I am planning to get some creating done today. Now to keep to that plan. But we all know these things are for reconnecting with friends, eating great food, laughing, and playing. We all need that to keep us positive and vibrant.
I have a Rejoice Cross Ornament for you today.....
This cross started life as a paper mache' blank. I painted it with cream acrylic paint. I then added a layer of gold smootch spray. I love the smootch spray. It has intense color and shimmer. I created rolled flowers using memory box dies, and a spellbinder die. I sprayed these with gold smooch and blue tattered angel spray. These were attached to the cross and the ribbons. The oval in the center was cut from bristol board and stamped with the word rejoice. It was then spritzed with the tattered angel spray.
This is the flip side of the ornament.
I am having a blast creating ornaments this year.

I had quite an adventure yesterday looking for jingle bells for my Christmas projects. I stayed in town to shop. My first stop was our local hardware store that has everything past nuts and bolts. Their craft section is pretty cool. It is like time stood still for the last 10 years in some respects. I did find two small packages of jingle bells. They were silver. Silver is good as well as gold. And two packages only got me 12 bells. I did get a new stamp. It is the one I am using on my challenge card. It is from New Stamp on the Block. Dated 2002. I stopped at four more stores before hitting the jack pot on jingle bells. I have enough for now and know where to return to get more.
Here is my card for Joans Challenge Recycle Card . You can see and join the challenge here....
http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/11/this-weeks-challenge_15.html
The only challenge requirement this week is to use something that is recycled.
Here is my card.....
My recycle items are a paper bag and old sheet music. I think their new life suits them well. I stamped the vintage girl on the paper bag and tore her out. I colorized her with prisma pencil. I then sponged Tim Holtz distressed ink in vintage photo over the edges and around the girl. I had already created my poinsettia in bright red. I had to fix the color so I sponged it with the same ink to give it that vintage feel. This poinsettia was created using a Heartfelt Creation stamp set I purchased at Joans. I added a button to the center to keep the vintage feel. Under the flower I added a leaf sprig cut from a Memory Box die also from Joans. I have a ton of old sheet music. So I cut a piece of this and distressed it with the same ink used everywhere else on the card. To finish this card off I added red braid also using the distressed ink as it was bright red too. I do want to note that I bought the stamp before I saw the challenge. That was a stroke of luck for me.
Here is the inside of the card.

Joans Challenge red, white, and green two
Good Morning Ladies,
I am not ready for the cold. I didn't want to leave the house last night to go to dog training I was so cold. But of course I did. How can I progress in my training if I don't go. Right?
I have created one last card for Joans Challenge red, white, and green two this week. You can see the challenge and all the entries here.... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/11/this-weeks-challenge_8.html
It will get your christmas mo jo going....
I started this card with the tone on tone white card stock form sei. I created the poinsettia flower and leaf using a Heartfelt Creations stamp set I purchased at Joan's. This is a two layer poinsettia. I hand cut the layers and curled the petal ends. The leaf and flower were set atop the white bow. My cut shape is from a spellbinders set. My sentiment is from another Heartfelt Creations stamp set I purchased at Joan's.
A close-up of the sentiment.
Thanks Joan and Selma for another great challenge!!

Cardinal Christmas Wreath
Good Morning Ladies,
I know I have been posting many Christmas items. When you create you have to start early. If you don't you won't be ready for Christmas. Also if I wait to blog my Christmas items you will never get to see them all before Christmas. So here we go with another Christmas item.... Cardinal Christmas Wreath ....
This wreath came to fruit with the cardinal. Our little feathered friend that puts us in the mind of Christmas. I perched him on the bottom of the wreath. I then wrapped pinecone ribbon around the wreath. What to add next....rolled flowers and a rolled rose. The rose is cut from a spellbinder die and the flowers from a memory box die. A red velvet ribbon bow and two bells top this wreath off.

Vintage Happy Birthday Frogs
Good Morning Ladies,
We had a great time at the dog show yesterday. I am looking on to a new week and a crop this coming weekend.
My card for you today is Vintage Happy Birthday Frogs
To create this card I started with a basic grey panel over my card base. I inked the edges of this piece. The frog image is from New Stamp On The Block. I stamped the frogs on La Blanche paper. The paper can be purchased at http://www.atjoansgardens.com/ It is a specialty paper that is made for blending Tim Holtz distressed inks. I colorize the image with Tim Holtz distressed inks. I then tore and curled the edges. This was attached to the card with pop material. To finish this card off I added green gardeners twine.
This is a side view to show the popping.
And the inside of the card.
You can find this card for sale at the Co-op shoppes on State Street in La Porte, IN. Booth #25

Joans Challenge Rejoice
Good Morning Ladies,
I am up and at it early this fine Saturday morning. I am off in a little bit to go and groom Dude for a show tomorrow. I was up last night creating another card for Joans Challenge Rejoice is my card. You can see the challenge here.... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/11/this-weeks-challenge_8.html If you have not stopped by Joans web site yet you simply must. You can find so many card samples, fun challenges, and great products.
Here is my card rejoice....
The requirements for this challenge are to make a card using red, green and white. The beginning of this card was the sentiment stamp. I ordered this stamp from Joan last week. I had seen it on a card Selma made and just had to have it. I stamped it on Bristol board and cut it with a spellbinder die. This die is the first spellbinder that I purchased or so long ago. The card stock is from DCWV the red has sparkle to it. I matted the sentiment with the same spellbinder set. The church is also a die from Joan made by memory box. This was cut using white glitter card stock. I tied a organza ribbon across the bottom of the card. To top this card off I added flat back snowflakes.
This is the inside of the card.

Joan's Challenge Red, White, and Green
Good Morning Ladies,
Yesterday I did laundry and created. I must admit I created more than I did laundry. Oh well the wash will always wait...ideas slip away...
This morning I have a card for Joan's Challenge Red, White, and Green . Yes I created this yesterday! Here is the link to the challenge.... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/11/this-weeks-challenge_8.html
Here is my card....using the stocking die I just ordered from Joan's here http://www.atjoansgardens.com/search/label/Memory%20Box
To create this card I used a white card base. I added metallic red and white paper from GSD. I used a Martha Stewart border punch at the top of the card in white card stock. I then added a velvet ribbon on top of the border. I just love velvet ribbon. It reminds me of christmas dresses in velvet. I created the stocking using a Memory Box die as I mentioned above. I cut the sock part in green card stock and the top of the stocking in glitter card stock. I must say this die was a joy to work with. I put a button on each stocking to hang it from the ribbon above. Little white snowman buttons top off each stocking. I cut a spellbinder label from white card stock and stamped a sentiment on it. Buttons placed on this kept the theme of this card.
This is a side view as I popped up the stockings.
This is the inside of my card.
Another great challenge Joan and Selma! I am loving the freedom of this challenge. I love red and Christmas!

Chicken Birthday
Good Afternoon Ladies,
It's just past twelve here. I have been to dog training and back. I am now working on that ongoing problem. Laundry! But of course as I am doing laundry I am creating. There is a lot of time between loads.
My card for you today is Chicken Birthday. Now that my sister has chickens I am even more attracted to chicken stamps. What can I say.... here it is....
This card started life with the Stampington chicken stamp. I grabbed this up at a used sale at a crop. What a great find! I stamped it on bristol board and colorize it with prisma pencil, gamsol, and spica pens. I double matted this with blue and yellow card stock. I attached this to natural card stock that covers my white card base. I created three rolled flowers using a memory box die. I added greenery using another memory box die.
Side view of my rolled flowers.
A very simple birthday wish is on the inside.
Well...off to eat lunch...
