Stampin' Up Batty Flip Card

Good Evening Ladies,
I missed yesterday. I thought I was going to miss today. But here I am tired but with a new card.
My card for today is Stampin' Up Batty Flip Card

To create this card I used the Sizzix Flip-its Diamond card die. This is a fun die that I have just started to explore. I used a Spellbinders scalloped square die set for the bat and the sentiment. The stamps are from a Stampin' Up wood mounted set. This is an older set I purchased from a group on Facebook. I added ghosts from a Memory Box die to dress this card up. Simple but interesting.
This is the card opened up to show the flip side.
I also used my new punch board envelope maker to make a matching envelope for this flip card. I used the bat to decorate the front side of the envelope.
This is the backside of my envelope using the same stamp set to decorate it with.

Victorian Cut Out with Graphics 45

Good Morning Ladies,
I was up and at it very early this morning. Sleep came easy last night and I slept soundly. I am hoping my energy and creative muse stay with me throughout the day today. Looks like we may head out to the mill pond festival to check out the scene.
The project I created this morning is a Victorian Cut Out with Graphics 45 shadow box. This was fun to create.
I love Victorian cut-outs and I love Graphics 45. The two paired together are perfect! I found a source on facebook to purchase more cut-outs. I hadn't happened upon them for a very long time so I purchased a few. Well maybe a little more than a few. I think this young lady is beautiful. The shadow box was unfinished wood that I purchased at Micheals. The first thing I did was stain it using Tim Holtz distressed stain in vintage photo. The dauber tops work excellent to stain the large areas. Then I pop the dauber top off and grab a paint brush. I dip it in and paint on the rest of the areas. It's so easy to stain a frame this way! Gotta love Tim Holtz. With that finished I started on the inside panel. I covered the board with Graphics 45 paper from the Botanical pad. My next layer is Graphics 45 from the French Country  pad. Then my beautiful girl was put down. There are leafy vines cut from a Memory Box die under the pearl sprigs and flowers. My flowers were created using a Sizzix flower die. They were made with Graphics 45 paper from the Secret Garden pad. I love how the Graphics 45 collections can be mixed and matched.
This is the panel before it was put into the shadow box.

Joan's Challenge Nature Christmas

Good Evening Ladies,
I had a fun filled day with dogs of course. It was a puppy reunion up in Michigan. Great food, great dogs, and great friends. You can't ask for more than that. Relaxing at it's finest!
Before I left this morning I created a card for Joan's Challenge Nature Christmas
You can check the challenge out by clicking on this link http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2013/08/this-weeks-challenge_22.html
The requirements this week are as follows:
Something from nature
Red and Green
Cut out center and stamp a design
Created a Christmas card
Use something you can purchase at http://www.atjoansgardens.com/
Here is my entry:
How do I start. Well the cut out was created using the Spellbinder die set Labels Twenty-One. I purchased this set at Joan's. It was cut from the center of a piece of red glitter card stock. I cut a piece of white shimmer cardstock to back my opening. I couldn't help to add the Memory Box Birch Trio #98671 I purchased at Joan's to my background it just worked so well. I popped the red panel up on the white shimmer cardstock. I used liquid pearls I purchased at Joan's for snow in the tree forks and to create falling snow. I stamped a bear from Far North Images that a friend gave me. He was stamped on Bristol paper and colorized with Prisma pencil and Gamsol. He was popped up on the birch trees. To decorate the rest of the card I used the Cheery Lynn B148 Holly Flourish I purchased at Joan's. I cut it twice from green cardstock. I then created three red roses from a Sizzix die.
An attempt to show the opening popped up.

Another view to show the liquid pearls in the forks of the trees as snow.

Inkadinkado Praying Hands

Good Morning Ladies,
Another short night for me. I should have stayed up later making roses. I made a few before I went to bed.
Sometimes I make flowers for an individual card. A lot of the time I already have the right color already made. I like to take my scraps and cut rolled flowers from them. That keeps me in an assortment of colors.
My card for today is Inkadinkado Praying Hands
This card was created using the same Inkadinkado set from yesterday's post. The praying hands were stamped on Bristol paper and colorized with Prisma pencil and Gamsol. They were then cut using a Sizzix thinlits set. This same set was used to cut the two matching pieces. The roses were created using a Sizzix rose die. The ferns are cut from a memory box die.
This is the inside sentiment.

Inkadinkado Holy Bible Wedding Card

Good Morning Ladies,
What a rough night. I was up and down several times. Dude decided to start barking in Sam's room at about three. So I got up and let dogs out. He then started barking at four. I got up and let him out again. I was just about asleep again and it was time to get up. So here I am ready to post my card for today.
My card is Inkadinkado Holy Bible Wedding Card . The stamp set I used for this card was given to me by a friend. It is an awesome set. I love it! So here is the card....
This card was created with the Bible being my first inspiration. I stamped it on Bristol paper and colorized it with Prisma pencil, Gamsol, and a star dust pen. The bible was hand cut. Next came The die-cuts. I used two different Spellbinders sets and stack them. I used the border die at the bottom of the card. These were all cut out of white shimmer cardstock. The bible and doily die-cuts were popped up with 3-M foam pillows. The leafy fern die is from Memory Box. The roses were created using a Sizzix rolled rose die in blue cardstock. The top mat is from a DCWV stack and the lower mat is the white shimmer cardstock. A pearl sprig tops this card off.
A view of the popped up doily duo and bible.
 A close-up of the roses.

The inside sentiment and matching die for this card is by Just Rite.

CTMH Giraffe Out of Africa

Good Morning Ladies,
Things have been busy again. So I missed yesterday.
My card for today is CTMH Giraffe Out of Africa ...
This CTMH clear set is an older set but I have just come by it. And I must say I love it. The giraffes are stamped on Bristol paper and colorized with Prisma pencil and Gamsol. They are stamped in Archival ink in the color of coffee. I then cut them with a Spellbinder die set. I used the same set to created the corners in brown cardstock. The background papers are dark brown card stock and yellow and white polka dot DSP.
The flowers were created with my favorite Sizzix rose die out of yellow textured cardstock from DCWVand a double sided Tim Holtz cardstock. To top this card off I used gold dotted tulle.
This is the inside of the card using a sizzix clear stamp and banner die set.

Tall Witch Stampin' Up

Good Morning Ladies,
I was off to a dog show this weekend. So I did not post. I was tired both days when I got home.
My dog Dude took best in show on Saturday. Wow! What a thrill that was.
My card for today is Tall Witch Stampin' Up
I have been buying a lot of used stamp sets. Ones I have never owned and never knew I wanted. But they are all turning out to be fun! Now here is my card from one of those sets...
The tall witch is from Stampin' Up. I stamped her on Bristol paper and colorized her with Copic markers. She was then cut with a Spellbinder die set. I stamped the spider and spider web from a Hobby Lobby set with black memento ink on the panel. I thought that it looked a little plain so I added the ghost die-cuts that were cut with a Memory Box die and the cat from the Cheery Lynn screen door die.
This is the inside of the card.

Thanksgiving Turtle

Good Evening Ladies,
Late again...But hey it's Friday! And I have been creating again. After doing a bunch of other stuff that needed to be done. I am going to a dog show this weekend. I just got finished putting together a basket of cards for the dog show dog club raffle.
And here is my card for today.... Thanksgiving Turtle
This card was inspired by the new feather die from MFT. The turkey turtle is by Stamping Fools. He is stamped on Bristol paper. He is colorized with Prisma pencil and Gamsol. He was then hand cut. The feathers were edged in yellow Color Box pigment ink. The turtle was added using a wobbler to add fun and action to this card. The acorn and oak leaf images are by Stampin' Up. The are stamped in coffee Archival ink on paper bag color card stock and then hand cut. They are popped up.

 A view of the popping.
The inside sentiment is from Clear Dollar Stamps. Stamped on the feathers it continues the front theme of this card.

Crafter's Companion Happy Halloween

Good Evening Ladies,
Today was a busy and interesting day. I am blogging late, but better late than never!
My card for today is: Crafter's Companion Happy Halloween
This card started life with the Crafter's Companion stamp set Special Sister. The little girl was a fairy, but I cut her wings off for this card. She was stamped on Bristol paper and colorized with Copic markers. I added the polka dots to her dress. She was then hand cut and popped up on two layers cut with a Sizzix Thin-lits set. This sits on top of a DSP halloween design. A black and white polka dotted ribbon bow tops this card off.
A close-up of the fairy turned girl.
 A view of the popping.

Snail Mail The Stamps of Life

Good Morning Ladies,
I did not get a chance to post yesterday. But I am back today with a card created from the new stamp club I joined. I am loving this club and their clear stamp and die sets.
My card for today is Snail Mail The Stamps of Life
This snail is so cute! I stamped him on Bristol paper and colorized him with copic markers. The background paper is DCWV. The sentiment is stamped on card stock cut with a Spellbinder die set. A ribbon is tied at the bottom to top this card off.
 The snail is popped up.
The inside sentiment stamped with the same set.

Joan's Challenge Make a Scene

Good Morning Ladies,
Another Monday is upon us. I had a nice relaxing weekend. Now on to the new week.
I have created a card for Joan's Challenge Make a Scene
The requirements are as follows:
Make a vintage card
Use a bird
Use a scenic patterned paper
Use a die for your sentiment
Use a product sold at Joan's Gardens
So I had to think about this one awhile. What to do. Then it came to me, use Graphics 45. So here is my card......
I picked my favorite Graphics 45 pad that I purchased at Joans. It is the secret garden collection. I used the 8 x 8 pad. I am not always sure what to do with the wonderful scene that is the first two sheets in the pad. This is the perfect challenge for those sheets. I cut this one up and used three different parts of the scene. The background is from the companion 6x6 pad. I added little brown birds cut from  the Memory Box die Resting Birds #98527 that I purchased at Joan's. One little bird is placed in the little girls hand. For my sentiment I used the Just Rite Clear set Ever After Antique Labels One. This can be purchased at Joan's. I stamped it on a die cut from Spellbinders ss-109 Vintage Lace Motifs. These can be purchased at Joans.
A close-up of the little bird resting in the girls hand.
This is the inside of the card. I can't see letting Graphics 45 paper go to waste. I added the extra pieces from the front on the inside of the card. My sentiment inside is stamped on the Just Rite Custom Die JB-03830 Antique Labels One Dies. The sentiment is from TPC.
 Left inside of the card.

Right inside of the card.
You can see the challenge here.... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2013/08/this-weeks-challenge.html
There is still plenty of time to join in.
Another great challenge Joan and Selma. Thanks for giving me one more idea on how to use the wonderful Graphics 45 pads you sell.
Happy Scraps,
Mrs. Swandog

Malamute Happy Halloween

Good Morning Ladies,
It is a lovely weekend. Perfect weather for whatever you want to do. The dogs are happy the windows are open and they are running in and out. I have been doing a little creating. I took and dropped off a whole new batch of cards up at the Co-op Shoppes in my booth.
My card for today is Malamute Happy Halloween
I am creating a series of cards for a friend of mine. That is why you will see the Malamute dogs appear over and over again. It also gives you ideas for how one stamp can be created into several different cards. All unique. This stamp Malamute stamp from Grey Wolf Graphics is sure giving me the most bang for my buck. He was stamped on Bristol paper and colorized with Prisma pencil and Gamsol. He was then hand cut and popped up on the background scene. The background scene was created on Bristol paper. The stamps are from a Halloween Crafts set from Hobby Lobby. To tell you the truth I don't even remember buying this stamp set. Maybe a friend gave it to me. Well anyway all the stamps in this scene are from this set. A ribbon tied at the bottom tops this card off.
A view to show the popping of the dog.
This is the inside of the card. And yes the sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Penguin Christmas Inkadinkado

Good Morning Ladies,
It's Saturday!! So many things to do this weekend. I am starting it off with blogging and creating. Of course I have laundry to do. That is a never ending battle.
My card for today is Penguin Christmas Inkadinkado
This card started with an Inkadinkado penguin clear stamp set. I have had this set around for quite some time. I ran across it and thought it was time to use it again. I stamped the penguin on Bristol paper. He was colorized with Copic marker and stickles. Stickles makes wonderful snow. I then used my new Sizzix thinlits ovals to cut him out as well as the two mats below him. There are two mats covering the card base. The blue mat was run through my cuttle bug with a snowflake embossing folder to give this card texture. The snowflakes  were cut using a Spellbinder die set.
This is the inside of the card.  The sentiment is from the same Inkadinkado set.

Blue Ribbon Winner The Stamps of Life

Good Morning Ladies,
I have purchased quite a few new products lately. I have joined The Stamps of Life club. They send out a new set of stamps every month. Today my card is Blue Ribbon Winner The Stamps of Life . The blue ribbon stamp set is my first set to receive. I love it of course as it goes with all of my dog stamps. So here is the card...
I was not sure if I would like the clean simple lines these stamps create, but now I know I love it. The ribbon was stamped on Bristol paper using Andirodak dye inks. The paw in the middle of the ribbon is from Our Daily Bread with the ribbon being from The Stamps of Life. The hot diggety dawg sentiment is from Cas-ual Fridays Stamps. The wood cut dog stamp is from Dog Stamps Plus and is stamped on bristol paper using Archival ink. This image was colorized using Prisma pencil and Gamsol. I popped the Sheltie dog up.
A view to show the popping.
The inside sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

Joan's Challenge Negative Image

Good Morning Ladies,
I did not know if I was going to get a card done for Joan's Challenge Negative Image this week. But I worked on it and finished it last night.
The requirements for the challenge this week are as follows:
Die cut image using the negative.
Colors of purple and white.
Textured layer
Leaves
Use something you can purchase at http://www.atjoansgardens.com/
Here is the link to the challenge..... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2013/08/this-weeks-challege.html
And here is my card:
The textured background had me going. I am not very good at stenciling paste. I can't ice a cake so the palette knife eludes me. I thought and I thought and then I remembered that old crimping tool in the stamp room. I had to look to locate it but I took the time and found it. So my textured background is done with that old crimping tool. Next was my negative image. I have so many wonderful dies from Joan's I just had to settle on one. I thought the Cheery Lynn die A2 164 Screen Door w Cat was perfect. So I cut it in a purple textured paper. This die was purchased at Joan's. For my leaves I decided on Memory Box die #807. This was cut in two colors of purple cardstock. This die was also purchased at Joan's. I added a white pearl sprig to the leaves at the top of the card. My roses were created using a Sizzix floral die.
A close-up to show the texture of the crimping tool.

Autumn Days

Good Morning Ladies,
Wow what a morning! I re-posted a card I had already posted. So I had to delete that one. I am going to try again with the card I was suppose to post.
Here it is Autumn Days ....
This card started with the new Just-Rite oak leaf and acorn background stamp. It was stamped on gold card stock using Coffee Archival Ink. This was layered on a piece of brown cardstock. Next comes the oval cut from a Sizzix thinlits die set. The cute little squirrel girl image is from Motivet along with the sentiment at the top. The squirrel girl was colorized with Prisma pencil and Gamsol and popped on top of the oval. A piece of cotton twine was tied at the bottom to top this card off.
A closer look at the squirrel girl.
A shot to show her popping.

This is the inside of the card.
