Polar Northern Lights

Good Morning Ladies,
The dogs are busy running in and out this morning. Dude tried to make off with a toy into the back yard. I caught him and the toy is safe inside.
The card for today is Polar Northern Lights
I am still playing with the mail art Monday technique from Viva Las Vegas Stamps a couple of weeks ago. Too much fun.
This time around I went with lighter colors for the northern lights. I used dye inks and make-up sponges to create the northern lights. An ice float was stamped at the bottom. It is an image from Third Stone Stamps. Crystal laquer was added to the ice float to make it look like ice. The polar bear die is from Gina Marie. The sentiment is also from Gina Marie. The snowflake is from my old stock.

A close-up of the sentiment on the front of the card.
This is the inside sentiment also from Gina Marie.

Northern Lights Stag

Good Morning Ladies,
I was off to the dog show this past weekend. Dude and I had a great time. We slogged through the snow but we didn't notice it to much.
The card for today is Northern Lights Stag
I decided to give the Northern Lights another try. This time I tried it on digital glossy cardstock from Marco's. I still used dye inks and make-up sponges. The colors come out lighter on this cardstock. The trees are an image from Stampscapes. It was stamped three times. At the bottom I added snow with liquid pearls. The liquid pearls picked up the ink from underneath and it looks like the lights are shinning off of it. The stag was cut from black cardstock using a Memory Box die. The snowflake is from my old stash.

TAC Penguins

Good Morning Ladies,
I have been working on cards like crazy. I need three different card baskets for dog show raffles.
Today's card is TAC Penguins
This card started with the first background I made for the Viva Las Vegas stamps challenge. It wasn't quite the color I wanted so I didn't use it. The cardstock was run through a Darice embossing folder. Next it was rubbed with Inka Gold. The penguins were stamped on watercolor paper and colorized with watercolor crayons. They were then hand cut. The sentiment is from Your Next Stamp. A snow hill was created by free form cutting. White shimmer card stock was used to create the hill. Stickles was added to the edge of the hill for snow. A ribbon tops this card off.
This is the inside sentiment by Your Next Stamp. The snowflake is from my old stash.

Sheena Douglass Twas The Night Before Christmas

Good Morning Ladies,
Wow! The wind is really blowing out there this morning. The dogs were out and back in a flash. I am thankful that there is no snow with all of this wind.
The card for today is Sheena Douglass Twas The Night Before Christmas
This is a Christmas card that was created using non Christmas stamps. The images are from the Sheena Douglass collection A Little Bit Magical. The images were stamped on watercolor paper and colorized with watercolor crayons. The mouse image is from Stampin' Up and was hand cut. The words in the open book are handwritten. The clock is a flat back. It had a black frame which I thought was too strong for this scene. So Inka Gold was rubbed on the black ring around the clock.
A close-up of the words in the book.
This is the inside sentiment. It is from a Gina Marie sentiment set. The gold charm is from my old stash.

Viva Las VegaStamps November Challenge

Good Morning Ladies,
They say we are suppose to have rain today. I am grateful it is not snow. How dreadful would that be?
Today I have a card for the Viva Las VegaStamps November Challenge
Here are the challenge rules
-Create a new project based on our inspiration board (it has to be posted this month, but you can certainly link up to other challenges as well!)
-Use at least one (but certainly more if you want) Viva Las VegaStamps! rubber stamps
(We are now allowing competitors stamps to be on your work, but please make VLVS! the focus of the project, thank you.)
-Post it to your blog with a link back to us
-Upload to our linky using your direct blog post link (You may also upload via facebook, flickr or other gallery)
Here is my card
This is the first time I have done an inspiration board challenge. The background was created using a Darice snowflake embossing folder. It was rubbed with Inka Gold. The trees are cut from white shimmer cardstock using a Memory Box Christmas Tree die. A piece of torn glitter paper creates a snow base. The pony express stamp is from Viva Las VegaStamps. He is inked in black on blue cardstock and hand cut. I thought he was perfect for this challenge. This time around he is delivering the Christmas card mail.

Sheena Douglass Owl Tag

Good Morning Ladies,
It seems to be a little warmer this morning. I am so not ready for cold weather. I don't think my dogs will mind it though.
The project for today is a Sheena Douglass Owl Tag
This tag was created using a mushroom group stamp and gnome from Third Stone Stamps, the owl from Sheena Douglass a Little Bit Magical collection, and the twisting leaves from Stampscapes. I love being able to combine stamps from different companies. The owl is fast becoming one of my favorite stamps. The owl and mushroom group was stamped first and then the twisting leaves. The gnome was stamped and hand cut. The entire tag is watercolored. A fiber is tied at the top.

The Stamps of Life Great Idea!

Good Morning Ladies,
Another night of odd sleep. I was up in the middle of the night working on cards. I don't recommend this as it turns the brain on and then sleep is most difficult.
The card for today is The Stamps of Life Great Idea!
This card was created using the stamp of the month stamp LightBulb2Stamp from the Stamps of Life. I am in the die hard club where you get the stamp set and the die set that goes with it. I have not been disappointed one month and have been a club member for about 2 years now. The light bulbs were stamped on yellow card stock and the patterned cardstock. The card was made using a Sizzix Flip Card Die.
This is the flip side.

The gnomes come in a set of four so this is two more of the gnomes. The gnomes were stamped on watercolor paper and colorized with watercolor crayons. They were then hand cut.  Here is the link to Third Stone stamps http://www.thirdstonestamps.com/ If you like scene stamping you will like this stamp company.
