Graphics 45 Christmas Ornament

Good Evening Ladies,.
I had a great Thanksgiving! Good times with family and friends. I did not do any black Friday shopping. I did take a couple of days off from the blog.
So this evening I have a Graphics 45 Christmas Ornament
To start this ornament off I painted Tim Holtz crackle paint in linen on a paper mache' base. Once dried and cracked I sponge on Tim Holtz vintage photo distressed ink. I then wiped it off so it just settled in the cracks. I chose a cut from a Graphics 45 Christmas pad. I inked the edges in vintage photo distressed ink. I accented this with a tiny christmas wreath. Glitter was added to the sides of the ornament. Ribbons and bells top this ornament off.

Vintage Cuts Tiger Ornament

Good Morning Ladies,
I got up and looked outside this morning and we did not get what was expected to be a big snow fall. It looks like last nights storm passed us over. That makes me a happy camper. No, wait....I can't be a happy camper. It's too cold outside to be any kind of camper.
My project for today is a Vintage Cuts Tiger Ornament .
This tiger vintage cut is one that I really love. I had to find the perfect background for him though. I found the banana leaf paper is my stash. I used a gold deco pen to go around the edges. The sides are done in holographic glitter. Bells and ribbons top this ornament off.

The Stamps of Life Christmas Lights

Good Morning Ladies,
I am of course cold again this morning. The temps changed here yesterday. It feels like a cruel joke. But today I will get out my flannel jeans and try to keep warm.
My card today is The Stamps of Life Christmas Lights
This card was created using an image and two sentiments from  The Stamps of Life Christmas Lights clear set. This was before I was a die hard club member. So all lights are hand cut. I drew the light string with a Art Deco silver metallic pen. The lights were stamped on green and red card stock and the same pen was used to colorized the screw ends of the lights. I don't know what company the die was that I used for the stamping of the sentiments as I created this card at a friends house and used her dies. The background paper came from the same friend so I don't know that company either. I just don't know much today. A cute and simple card.

The Stamps of Life TV

Good Morning Ladies,
I took a little break this past few days. I was getting my Christmas tree and ornaments ready for my booth in the Co-op Shoppes. That is now up.
My card for today is The Stamps of Life TV
I have now joined the Stamps of Life die hard club. So that means each month I get a set of stamps with matching dies. I am loving it. This is the set for November. I stamped and die cut five tv's. I cut the large tv out of the DCWV corragated paper and die cut the center of the tv out of white cardstock. I stamped one of the sentiments in the center of the tv. I used two brad to look like tv knobs. My background cardstock is shared from a friend so I don't know what company it is from.

Vintage Dream

Good Morning Ladies,
Happy Friday! The weekend is getting here fast. I have a gathering with friends tomorrow. Looks to be a laughter filled day tomorrow.
Today my card is Vintage Dream
This card was inspired by the vintage little girl. She came from an old collage pack. I had cut her out a long time ago. She had just been sitting around waiting for her place in the world. I happened upon her while looking for something else. I love great old finds like that. I inked the edges of this piece in brown ink. Next I selected the background cardstock. It come from a My Minds Eye pad. At first I thought the pattern would be too big. But it worked well. Next came the cluster of flowers and buttons. The flowers were created using two different sized Memory Box dies and a Sizzix die. The buttons are from one of my button boxes. I laid the buttons and flowers out on the card. They looked like they were just floating so I needed to anchor them. I had the piece of punched natural cardstock left from a recent project and it work perfect as an anchor. This piece was punched with a Martha Stewart punch. The little girl piece looks hazy like a dream. So I pulled out my new Red Rubber Designs Life is too short stamp set. I stamped the sentiment on a tag. The tag was then inked using a brown chalk ink to keep the soft look. Kitchen string was looped through the hole of the tag. A gold flower cut with a Marianne die and placed underneath the tag. Also a piece from another project. My stash provided many elements on this card. Scroll down to see the inside sentiment. That is where the dream comes in.

The set of Life is too short stamps has many options for the rest of the sentiment. A super buy!

Vintage Cut Boxer with Graphics 45

Good Morning Ladies,
Another Thursday! I am working on laundry before I go to work this morning. It has to be done and I do it when I will be home long enough to get a load or two done.
My card for today is Vintage Cut Boxer with Graphics 45
The cardstock used on this card is from the Playtime Past collection from Graphics 45. This collection is fun! The game advertisement is backed with a black cardstock mat to make it stand out from the domino background cardstock. This was the start of the card. But then I was stuck. I decided on using mini bead dice. If you look close there are dice in the advertisement.  Once again I was stuck. It just wasn't quiet what I wanted it to be. The vintage boxer dog cut was sitting there as I had other plans for it. I laid it on the card layout and it worked perfect. If you have seen many vintage photos you will notice boxers appear with kids often. This is a blank card because I felt it could be used for any number of occasions.

Christmas Ice Skaters

Good Morning Ladies,
The snow has made it very cold. I was not ready for this yet. I got my boots out and wore them yesterday only to discover they had a slit in them. So on my list of things I need is a new pair of boots. I loved my old boots. But I am sure I will find a new pair of boots to love.
Today's card is Christmas Ice Skaters
This card was created using Tim Holtz distressed ink on Ranger glossy cardstock. The skaters image is from Stampa Tampa. It was stamped in black Memento ink. Stickles were added to the pond. Then the layering began. My layers are holographic paper and snowflake paper from a DCWV Christmas stack. A white ribbon tops this card off.
This is the inside sentiment.
Holographic paper is hard to photograph. I did the best I could.

Vintage Cuts Baby Girl Ornament

Good Morning Ladies,
Yep we got snow. There is also a two hour delay for school. And my sister tells me it is slick under the snow. I do not like winter and snow.
Today I have a Vintage Cuts Baby Girl Ornament for you.
For this ornament I used a vintage embossed cut of a baby girl. Isn't she cute! The background paper is from my Creative Memories stash. It cover the paper mache' ornament base. Rolled roses created with a Sizzix die grace the bottom of this ornament. Both sides are the same. Ribbons and jingle bells top this ornament off. The sides are glittered with pink glitter from the Art Institute.

Graphics 45 Lets Have A Party

Good Morning Ladies,
They are calling for quite a bit of snow tonight. I am not looking forward to it. I am hoping they are wrong and it will all go around us.
My card for today is Graphics 45 Lets Have A Party
For this card I used the Playtime Past collection. I also used My Life Stories by My Minds Eye. The Minds Eye was used to cover my card base and to create the faux lace at the bottom of the card. The faux lace is created using a Martha Stewart punch and the flip side of the cardstock. The let's have a party panel is matted with black cardstock. The flowers were created using a rolled rose Sizzix die. A black satin ribbon tops this card off.
This is the inside sentiment. The tag edges are inked in brown fluid chalk ink from Color Box.

Christmas Doggy

Good Morning Ladies,
I am moving a little slow this morning. I am cold. Yes it is that time of year where warm is a foreign word to me. So what am I doing? Working on Christmas cards of course.
My card for today is Christmas Doggy
You all know how I love my dogs!
This dog stamp is one that I purchased when I went to the stamp show in October. What a cutie he is laying in his little house. He is an image from The Artful Stamper. He was stamped on Bristol paper and is colorized with Copic markers, a stardust pen, and stickles. The snow floating in the air is liquid pearls. He was cut with a Sizzix thin-lits die set as well as the mat underneath him. The card base was covered in red cardstock and a second layer was added using DCWV textured cardstock. Up the side is glittery green ribbon with a pawprint. The paw print was cut from holographic paper using an old green Sizzix die.
This is the sentiment inside this card.

Joan's Challenge Red and White Negative

Good Morning Ladies,
I am off to the dog show this morning. Windy and I are trialing in rally. Looks to be a fun day. I am taking along a basket of cards for the raffle.
I worked on the Joan's Challenge Red and White Negative before I went to work yesterday morning and finished it up late last night. This was a creatively fun one!
You can see and enter the challenge here http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2013/11/this-weeks-challenge-card.html
The requirements this week are as follows:
Use red, white, and a hint of green
Use the negative of a die cut
Use snowflakes (any kind works)
Use a product sold at http://www.atjoansgardens.com/
Now for the card I created.....
This card started with the negative of the Memory Box die Night Sky Border #98682. This is one of my most recent die purchases from Joan. I used it on a challenge at Joan's a couple of weeks or so back. The negative was still laying on my work space so it was the perfect starting point. The next die I grabbed was the Impression Obsession die Santa and his Reindeer #DIE081-0. This is another die I purchased more recently at Joans. I laid this on my card and liked it but the card needed something to anchor this die. So back to my dies I went. I came across the Memory Box die #98594 Village House that I purchased from Joan. I love the house dies. It worked perfect for my scene. All my die cut pieces are cut from pearl white cardstock. I needed something very small for my snowflakes and since the requirement was any kind of snowflakes I used little beads that look like snowflakes. I added liquid pearls at the bottom of the card for snow. Next up was a touch of green so I hung a wreath over the little round window at the top of the house.
This is a close-up of the house with the wreath.
This is the inside sentiment.
Thanks Joan for another fantastic challenge!

Vintage Cut Poodle Card

Good Morning Ladies,
Happy Friday!!! I am ready for the weekend. I will be trialing Windy in Rally this weekend. Windy and I always have a very good time.
Today I have a Vintage Cut Poodle Card for you.
This was a simple card to create, but I love the way it turned out. The background stage card stock is from a DCWV stack. When I purchased this stack I did not think I would ever use this design. I was wrong again. It was not quite large enough to cover the whole card base. So I layer a piece of black cardstock under it. I did not like the way it looked and thought it needed a little glitz. I took double sided sticky tape and ran it across the black cardstock on the bottom. I added gold glitter from the Art Institute. The poodle is a vintage embossed cut. The blue ribbon was stamped on white cardstock and embossed with Ranger black embossing powder. It was then colorized with art markers.

Artsy Woof!

Good Morning Ladies,
It's a bit nippy out there. But no rain this morning so far. It's a bit chilly in the house these days. My youngest son thinks 65 is a fine for the thermostat. So when I get home from work or training, or I get up in the morning I have to turn it back up to seventy. I can not function at 65.
Today my card is Artsy Woof!
This is a simple card, but the colors give it big impact. The artsy dog and woof sentiment are stamped on white cardstock with versa mark and embossed with black fine detail embossing powder from range. They were then colorized with art marker. These images are from Rubber Stampede. Black and pink layers make up the rest of this card. The dog is mounted on an action wobble. A hot pink sheer ribbon tops this card off.
A side view showing the lift of the action wobble.

Penguin with Christmas Tree

Good Morning Ladies,
It's raining again. Once again at least it isn't snow. My mornings have been cut short a half hour this week. Like I said yesterday busy, busy week. Yet I still find time to create. If I don't find time to create everyday I just don't feel right.
My card for today is Penguin with Christmas Tree
I created this card using a penguin image from The Angel Company. He was stamped on Bristol paper and colorized with Copic markers and liquid pearls. He was then cut with a spellbinders die set as well as the mat underneath him. The background base paper is from a DCWV Christmas stack. A Martha Stewart border punch was used to create the cardstock lace at the bottom of this card. A sheer and satin ribbon with a touch of gold graces the bottom of this card.
The inside sentiment is from an Inkadinkado clear set.

Jingle All The Way

Good Morning Ladies,
We had more rain last night. It makes it damp and chilly. But I am glad once again that it is not snow. Depending on the chill factor tonight sounds like a good night for a fire in the fireplace.
My card for today is Jingle All The Way
This card started with the jingle all the way stamp. This image was stamped on Bristol paper and colorized with Copic marker and a gold deco pen. This was then cut with a Sizzix thin-lits die set. It is edged with the deco pen. A green oval was cut for the next layer. Maroon cardstock was then edged with the deco pen for the next layer. A final layer of green was added onto the card base. The Impression Obsession Santa and sleigh was cut from brown cardstock. Pearl trim was added to top this card off.
