Vintage Dog and Pony Birthday

Good Morning Ladies,
I had a great time creating with friends yesterday. Of course there was lots of good food and conversation. And lots of laughs.
The card for today is Vintage Dog and Pony Birthday
I have been playing with tags this past week. They work great on a card front. The tag was stippled with dye ink. A German vintage embossed cut was then added to the tag. A gold embossed ribbon was placed at the bottom.
The inside sentiment is from Sheena Douglass.

The base of this project is a shipping tag. The Katzelkraft dog and bone was stamped in archival ink. It was then colorized with CTMH watercolors as well as the background. A fiber was added at the top for a tie.
A close-up of the dog.

Belated Birthday Snail

Good Morning Ladies,
I am off to a crafting day tomorrow with friends. I don't know what I am going to take yet but it will come to me sometime today.
The card for today is Belated Birthday Snail
The card base was created using a Sizzix flip-it die. The layering cardstock was created using my old stock. So much paper ...so little time! The elf and snail are a vintage German embossed cut. The sentiments and and snails are from the Stamps of Life. I love the flip-it dies because the layers are done for you.

Sheena Douglass Wolf

Good Morning Ladies,
I told my husband last night I am ready for spring. That means dog shows, camping at dog shows, and being warm. Sounds great!
The card for today is Sheena Douglass Wolf
This card started with the background. A simple background. It is dye ink stippled on glossy cardstock. The wolf and sentiment is from Sheena's a little bit sketchy collection. It is stamped in archival ink in black. The leaves and flower stems are stenciled on with Sheena's Floral Canopy stencil. I am finding the stencil to be a favorite.

Sheena Douglass Mixed Collections

Good Morning Ladies,
I am running late this morning. Surprised me too. I took advantage of Jo-Anns three dollar shipping and ordered glue, storage, and gel pens. It's not really a fun order. Kind of like buying undergarments. But pretty on the outside isn't much good without a good foundation.
The card for today is Sheena Douglass Mixed Collections
Three different Sheena Douglass collections were used to create this card. The castles are from the a little bit sketchy collection. The tiger is from the a taste of India collection, and the maiden is from the little bit magical collection. The maiden was stamped on watercolor paper first. A mask was then cut to cover her. The castles were stamped in the background next. The tiger was then stamped at the bottom. Pretty easy just using one mask. The entire scene was colorized with watercolor crayons. This is a 5X7 card so it can easily be put into a frame if so desired.
The inside sentiment is from a CTMH clear set.

Sheena Douglass A Dog's Life

Good Morning Ladies,
The cold persists. Although it is winter. We just had such an easy winter. We have a small heater running in the laundry room to keep the washer pipes from freezing. Last year was the first time we had this problem, but we are not risking it this year.
The card for today is Sheena Douglass A Dog's Life
This card was created using another one of the alcohol ink panels that was created a couple of weeks ago. This panel started out as mirror card. Alcohol ink was dropped on the panel and then moved around with a blending tool. The dogs were created using the Sheena Douglass A Dog's Life stencil. Archival ink was applied with a make-up sponge through the stencil. A Stampscape bare branch image was stamped to the top of the panel. The sentiment is from Casual Fridays.

The inside sentiment is also from Casual Fridays.
The Sheena stencil was purchased from the UK as I have not found a supplier in the US.

CTMH Feb Stamp of the Month

Good Morning Ladies,
We did get some snow. It sounds like it is blowing pretty good out there. Of course it doesn't keep the dogs from running in and out. They are busy as bees this morning.
The card for today is CTMH Feb Stamp of the Month
This is one of the cards that was created while I was at a friends house. She is a CTMH consultant so she had the Feb. stamp of the month to play with. It is a set with lots of different cute balloon animals. I chose the giraffe. The background was created using watercolor paper and the CTMH watercolors. The sun was stippled in with ink. The giraffes were stamped on watercolor paper and hand cut. They were then popped up on the background. The sentiment is from the same set.

It is really cold out this morning. I will have to start my truck early and get it warmed up. This is not my favorite time of year but I will survive.

The pint container is a product from CTMH. The container is white to start out with. Purple Dylusions ink spray was used to colorize the container. The Sheena Douglass a Little Bit Magical collection was used for the images. The dragon was stamped on watercolor paper and colorized with the new CTMH watercolors and brushes. He was hand cut and added to the front of the container. Liner tape was wrapped around the base of the container and the middle section of the lid. It was then burnished with Art glitter.
