Reindeer once more

Good Morning Ladies,
I'm sure you are getting sick of this reindeer but I think it is just so cool. So here is one more card using him. The background paper came from hobby lobby as did the flower. The red trim is from a ek success double border punch. This card sparkles and shimmers!
I finished all my decorating in the house yesterday, except for the blue tree in the family room. Thank goodness that one takes only about 20 minutes to put up and decorate. I spiffed up the bathroom with new monkey decor. Got the kitchen curtains washed and hung back up. I'm on a roll. So much more to do today.

flower soft snow dome

Good Morning Ladies,
This is a card I created using the flower soft cards, snowdomes, 3-d cut outs, and polar flower soft. I added a snow flake stamp, punched snowflakes, and rhinestones to finish the card. This went together quick and easy. I am loving the results. Some of you will want to know where I purchased the flower soft stuff. It came from Cafe' Crop in Crown Point, IN.
I am trying to get ready for christmas....I have two more ornaments to make. Then I am afraid there will be no creating until after christmas. But we will see what I can squeeze in between here and there.

upcycle reindeer tag

Good Evening Ladies,
I know I have not been very good at keeping up with the blog. I have no excuse. I have been busy creating though. Here is an upcycled tag.
I used a coffee wrapper from my latte at Rocky Mountain. I know you local girls know where that is. Very good coffee and goodies.

tim holtz reindeer die

Good Afternoon Ladies,
Here is a tag I made yesterday while playing with the new Tim Holtz reindeer die.

I cut the reindeer out of grunge paper. I then sprayed it with tattered angel candy apple red and added rhinestones around his neck. I sprayed the tag with PK Glitz green. I added snow-tex to the bottom of the tag and sprinkled it with diamond dust. I added a ribbon for the tassel. Simple but very pretty. The photo doesn't show the mists very well.

Now back to doing laundry..

winter ice horse

Good Morning Ladies,
Today I bring you the winter ice horse from Third Coast Rubber Stamps. This is one of my favorite stamps. Who am I kidding...I love all my stamps. I water colored the horse and added crystal laquer to the snowflakes. There is glitter under the horse's hoofs for snow. You can't see it in the photo but I glimmer misted the whole layering swatch. I edged it in ink and added snowflake brads to the corners. I mounted this on snowflake paper and tied a piece of yarn to finish this card off.

Well off to wake Sam for school...

Thankful Turkey

Good Morning Ladies,
As you know I am on the hang tag team over at more paper than shoes. This is my second project for November. The requirements were feathers, ribbon, and a raised item. I came up with this thankful turkey tag. It was fun to create.
I attended my first local card swap yesterday and received many beautiful cards. I am in a group of very talented gals. What a kick start to a new club!
It seems like Christmas is just around the corner. I have to make some cards pronto! It always sneaks up on me. Maybe I should just make new year's cards this year and be finished on time. LOL
Well....off to get Sam up for school...

Giraffe Drinking

Good Morning,
Thought I would post my latest scene card. This is one of my favorite giraffe images. The first step of this card was to stamp and mask the giraffe image. I continued by scribbling my water color pencils across a layering swatch. I of course then brushed it with water. I then added the trees and colorized them with my watercolor pencils. I mounted this panel on glitter paper.

I made a power run to Jo Ann's last night. Their punches are 40 percent off and I snagged a leaping reindeer punch. It should go well with my reindeer border punch.

Well...off to get ready for dog training...

christmas horse layout

Good Morning Ladies,
Last week was not a good week for me to post. Sorry about that.

Today I bring you a new Christmas layout. I created this layout using a stamped image from Third Coast Rubber Stamps. I just love their horse images. I used a gold pen to edge the three embellishment pieces. You can't see it real well in the photos, but I used glimmer mist in gold over the merry christmas and the horse. This was a fun layout to create.

I attended a crop last Saturday and I had a great time. I made many flowers with the new tim holtz rosette die. All that paper that you have in your stash that now you say what was I thinking. This is the perfect way to use it. When you get the flower all finished the paper doesn't even look the same. Another paper that you can use is the paper you bought in a pack that you didn't really like. But it came with paper you just had to have. I also made cards with the snowglobe bubbles from flower soft. Photos to come on those.

I am trying to get my craft room back in order. After a crop is always a good time to do this. Let's see how far I get. LOL

Well....off to create...

Tim Holtz rosette die

Good Morning,
This is a flower I created using the new Tim Holtz rosette die. My friend had this die at the last crop I was at. She had me use it. Well.....I had to go and buy one. It is so cool and I will be using it over and over again. My mom picked up the new Tim Holtz reindeer die and I can't wait to snag that one from her and use it too.
Laundry is on the top of my list to do today. I don't know how we produce so much of it. My washer and dryer for sure get the hardest workout at my house. LOL

Happy Dogs Card

Good Morning,
This is my happy dog card. I purchased this stamp at Cafe' Crop. They have some really cool stamps there and of course if it's dogs I gotta have it!
The mornings seem to be more chilly each day. The time change is this weekend.....so we get an extra hour. That's a good thing.
I got to listen to my Uncle tell stories last night. You have to love stories about your family that are really funny. He made me laugh and smile, just what was in order for the day.
Well....off to get Sam up for school...

autumn tag for MPTS

Good Morning,
Here is the tag I created for the MPTS hang tag design team. The challenge was autumn and had to include leaves, foil, and metal. This is what I came up with. It was fun to create and the bear pin can be detached and worn.
I can't believe it is November already. Thanksgiving is on it's way! That always means really good times with family and lots of great food.
I am going to a crop on Saturday. Looks to be a lot of fun with friends. Now to decide on projects and get packed up before Saturday morning. I never know what to take and always take way too much.
I gave my great nieces and nephews Halloween cards on spook night. They had fun trick or treating and were so cute dressed up in their costumes.
Well off to get ready for my day job....

Outlines flower 2

Good Afternoon,
Happy Trick or Treat!
This is the second flower I created using the outlines flower stamps. I stamped them on plain white card stock. I colorized them using watercolor pencils and mica pallets. I curled the petals using a knitting needle. I can't wait for cafe' crop to get the next shipment of these stamps.
My husband is totally amazed by his mulching mower. No leaves to rake this fall!!
I made a trip to cafe' crop yesterday. I was jonesing for some more radiant rain. LOL I can't get enough of the stuff. I also picked up some of the new tim holtz christmas embossing folders. Along with some other goodies.
Well off to walk Windy...

Vintage Wedding Card

Good Morning,
The high winds around here have been crazy. We are all safe and sound here. My sis had a tree fall on her fence yesterday. And I know others have had wind damage too. I hope all is safe in your corner of the world.
Today I bring you a vintage wedding card. The checked background, the butterfly strip and the bride are from Graphics 45. The embossed piece is one of the new Tim Holtz embossing folders. I used a radiant rain dabber to highlight it. The pearls are from Kaiser. I can't tell you where I got the charm it has been so long ago. The groom is from River City Rubber Works. The lace is out of my stash. This card front could also be used in a vintage scrapbook.
I still get up at five and create everyday. This seems to set the tone of the day for me. It lets the child out to play before I step into the adult world.

outlines flower

Good Morning,
I went to a crop of sorts this weekend at the New Carlisle library in Indiana. It was a free crop and used stamp sale. I had a great time and bought a little. For those of you who live close this is the new place to be. They have all kinds of crafting things going on there. Call and check out their events!
While I was there I created some handmade flowers. I hang out at the more paper than shoes forum here on the net and they make some wonderful handmade flowers and inspired me to try. Here is my first result...
This flower was created using the Tim Holtz grunge paper, radiant rain, black staz-on ink, blue crystals, and outlines flower stamps. This was fun to create. It is kinda bulky...so I'm thinking shadow box or board book.
I bought the outline flower stamps at cafe' crop in crown point, Indiana. The radiant rain came from there also.
Yesterday I spent the whole day shopping for a costume for Sam. What a long day. He is going to be a hippie, his long hair works well for this. My oldest sis went with me and we had a great time.
Well....off to get ready for my day job...

Flapper Tag

Good Morning,
For those of you who know me well, you know I love the graphics 45 paper. I created this tag using that paper. (I know some of you have this at home) I added a butterfly from the melting pot, lace, a feather, and two kinds of trim. This was very fun to make.
The lineup for my day today....take calvin to an appt.,lesson with Windy, take Calvin to appt. Sounds exciting huh? Well also to my list is laundry and creating.
I wonder what will grab me next in my craft room. I will have to go down and look around or maybe just sit at the table a bit.
Fall is my favorite time of year. The bugs go away....the weather is cooler....hikes in the woods start up again. Fall seems quite and calm to me after a very busy summer.
Sam is off school for fall break so no getting him up this morning....

Dragonfly hang tag

Good Morning,
I had a lot of fun creating this hang tag. The tag base was created using radiant rain daubers I picked up at Cafe' Crop in Crown Point, IN. I added prima flowers from the flower tower. The cute little dragonfly is from sparkle and sprinkle. I colorized him with brush markers, glitter, and crystal laquer. He is triple pop dotted to raise him up above the flowers. I added two ribbons for the tassel.
For those of you who live close to me, I hope you have time to run up to Crown Point and check out Cafe' Crop. It is a wonderful scrapbook store with many exciting items to add to your creative studio.

Trick or Treat Vampire

Good Morning,
It's that time of year again....when all the ghouls come out to collect their candy. I created this layout using the new martha stewart transparencies. I just love them. they have the adhesive already on the back. No fuss ...no mess. I also used two inkadinkado stamps, a sizzix ghost, and the bat punch from ek success. This layout was fun and fast!
I have my living room all finished and put back together. Now to hunt out some moose and bear stuff for accent pieces.

Good Morning,
For those of you with cricuts this is a cricut wolf my mom cut for me with the drawing pens. The line of trees are stamped and embossed. I added flower soft white diamond for the snow. This was a fun hang tag to make.
My duties today include finishing the paint job in the living room and cleaning out the inside of my van. Dog crates will be pulled and everything. My son is then going to detail the inside for me. What a job!
I think I am going to attempt to make a big pot of potato soup today too. I don't know how that will go. LOL

be with those who help your being

I created this card with the stampington grape vine wreath. I embossed the image, colorized it with brush markers and cut it out. Then I took small sheer ribbon and wrapped the wreath. I added leaves and prima flowers. I put the puppy on top, because we all know I love dogs. The quote in the middle is one I truly believe in.

Happy Birthday hang tag

Good Morning,
Being on the hang tag team over at the more paper than shoes forum has got my creative juices flowing again for hang tags. I am having great fun creating! This simple Happy Birthday tag was fun to create.
I find the more my sister's store has been closed the more I am having a hard time remembering all the different stamp companies.
I did have a super friend of mine pick up a couple of Motivet stamps for me at the last convention. Thanks Judy! This is a company I have not had stamps from before and am looking forward to using them.

Live out loud

Good Evening,
I created this tag using art institute glitter on the flowers and leaves. I also added crystal laquer on top of the glittered flowers. The butterfly was created using the melting pot, a tiny cutter, the extra thick embossing powder, and the color dyes. I am here to live out loud was stamped and embossed. The gal was cut from an atc book. Outlines stickers added to the corners and a ribbon tied for the tassel. This was fun to create and I am here to live out loud loving each day.
Windy and I had a great day at the dog show. We came home with 3 first places,3 high in division, and the high in trial. What a great dog I have!

mermaid tile card

This is a mermaid faux tile card. To create this card I used a piece of glossy card stock. I used my scorepal to create the tile lines. I then stamped the mermaid image and seaweed. I colorized it with die inks. I created this card at the start of my scene stamping. I now love to scene stamp and am a big fan of stampscapes.

I have been painting my living room. I did two different colors on the walls and boy was it a job. Today I am going to put it all back together.
