Joan's Challenge #7

Good Morning Ladies,
I was MIA yesterday on the blog. Life got a little crazier than usual on Monday. And that created a wacky Tuesday. But I got up this morning and couldn't pass up working on a card for Joan's Challenge #7. I thought I would only get an idea to get the card going. But once I started I couldn't quit. So I finished it also this morning.
You can see and join in the challenge here... http://joanstouch.blogspot.com/2014/03/challenge-7.html
The requirements for this week are as follows:
Use some pattern paper
Use a stamp
Add some corners
You must use a product from Joan's Garden
Here is the link to Joan's Garden ...http://www.atjoansgardens.com/
And here is my card...
I looked for a stamp for inspiration for this card. This Stampington dancing girl was staring me in the face right away. I knew she was the one. She is one of my favorites that I have not used in quite some time. I stamped her on cream card stock and colorized her with Prisma pencil and gamsol. She was then hand cut. I knew she was perfect to go with the Graphics 45 Botanical Tea pad that I purchased at Joan's Gardens recently. I picked the busier patterned paper. This is a sheet in Graphics 45 pads I rarely use. So this was a real challenge. I used and oatmeal card stock to cove the base of my card and placed this paper on top. The edges of both layers were inked with creamy brown chalk ink. My pad is pretty much dry and I am waiting on a new ink pad from Terri over at Joan's. This is my go to ink pad for Graphics 45 paper. Now for the dies I used that I bought at Joan's Gardens. I knew I need to ground my dancer so I used Impression Obsession die Grass DIE060-1. This was cut from the back of the patterned paper. I don't waste any Graphics 45 paper. The dancer was placed on top of the grass using pop dots and gluing her hands and feet down for dimension. Next I added Memory Box die Savannah Border #98221 to the side. I needed a vine for my roses. I then added Cheery Lynn Lace Corner Deco H #B173 to each of the four corners. This is a spider web type corner that I only thought I would use with Halloween cards. Boy was I wrong. These corners add a early morning dance theme to this card. So it was turning into a scene and I just had to  use Memory Box die Marshmallow Clouds #98344. They were cut out of the same Graphics 45 pad. And yes all these dies came from Joan's. I am addicted! The last element I added to this card was rolled roses cut from a Sizzix die. Scroll down for more details of the card.
This shows the grass and the corners.
 Here are my clouds.
A better view of the vine and the roses.
A view of the dancer popped up.
Thanks Joan and Terri! This card started my day off right!
Happy Scraps,
Mrs. Swandog

Lori, another pretty card. Love all those details and dancing in the grass right now sounds wonderful. Great color scheme and details.

For some reason, I cannot change from Terri to me on your blog. Thanks for joining us at Joan's Touch for our weekly challenge.Looks like I am going to have to design a new blog to do so. One of these days I will look into it.
