Joan's Challenge Leafy Background Unicorn

Good Morning Ladies,
It's June 3rd and I turned the heat on to take the chill out of the house. I can't believe it!
I had a great weekend. I got the plates for my new camper, went to the boat races, and did an agility demo with the dog training club.
I also had time for creating. I created another card for http://www.atjoansgardens.com/ .
The challenge requirements this week are as follows:
Use a leaf design for the background (die cut, stamped, embossed)
Add purple flowers
Use white, green, and purple colors
Use a sentiment
You must use a product sold at Joan's
Here is the link to the challenge... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2013/05/this-weeks-challenge_30.html
Here is my Joan's Challenge Leafy Background Unicorn card
My layers that cover my card base are a solid purple cardstock and a bright green card stock. On the green card stock I decided to create a tone on tone leaf pattern. I did this using a Fred Mullet leaf image and colorbox moss ink. I next used a Cheery Lynn fence die and cut it in white. I purchased this die at Joan's. The unicorn image was stamped on white card stock and colorized with Copic markers, crystal effects, and stickles. He was mounted in front of the fence. The rolled flowers were created using a Memory Box die I purchased from Joan. My rolled flower dies I purchased at Joan's are my favorite dies. I placed purple rhinestones from Kaiser in the center of each flower. The flowers needed a bed of something to sit on. So I created a grassy look by adding Flower Soft (you can purchase this at Joan's). I used the colors polar white, shamrock green, and lavender. For my sentiment I used a cloud die from Memory Box that I also purchased at Joan's. My sentiment is from Fiskars. My sentiment was inspired by Joan and Selma and their great challenges!
Here is a close-up of my flowers sitting on the bed of flower soft.
Trying to give a better view of the stamped leafy background. Tone on tone is hard to photograph.
Happy Scraps,
Mrs. Swandog

Lori, I love, love, love what you did with the background. The green on green is subtle, yet so beautiful and effective. Perfect backdrop for your card. I must remember this technique! Great card for this week's challenge at Joan's Gardens.
