CTMH Lamb Sympathy Card
Good Morning Ladies,
Ah...Saturday morning. No dog shows, no crops, no creating (well maybe a little creating). This weekend I will be cleaning house and getting ready for Christmas.
Here is a card for today... CTMH Lamb Sympathy Card
This card was inspired by the CTMH lamb stamp. I stamped him on natural paper in Tim Holtz distressed ink. This was cut with a spellbinder set. The two lower layers were cut with the same set. The leafy vines are card stock by Graphics 45. The rolled flowers were created using a memory box die. The paper flowers are from Prima. The script paper I am not sure of the maker. Jute is tied times three to keep the natural look of this card.
The inside of the card.

Joans Challenge Christmas Box
Good Morning Ladies,
This week Joans Challenge Christmas Box was a whole different experience. Yes, I had a glitter problem...as in I dumped a half a pot of glitter all over the floor. On the dog and of course the cat walked through it. I was covered in glitter. I had to call Dave in with the sweeper to get this situation under control. This caused him great stress. Yes, he is afraid of glitter and really hates it. It might get on him. My son was here to watch his dad on the edge. My son got a great laugh as well as I did.
Here is the link to the challenge http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/12/this-weeks-challenge_13.html
The challenge requirements are to decorate a box or container that you can give a Christmas gift in. Here is my box....
I started with a box I had stained some time back. Well it was so far back I can't remember when I stained it. I do have a love for wood boxes. This was back before Tim Holtz distressed stain came out (which you can buy at Joan's. I love them for staining wood craft projects. But this box was stained the old way... a can of regular stain. Much more messy and a longer dry time. I thought I would create a box for a gift for a man. I used a spellbinder die set to stamp my reindeer on. I then matted it with the same set in red. I die cut the snowflake trees in green. I purchased this memory box die at Joan's earlier this season. I just love it. I then die cut two birds from another memory box die I purchased at Joan's. I have used this bird over and over again. A great die buy! This time I did them in red and added them to the trees.
This is a lower front view. I stuck with the reindeer theme and used the deer trio die by memory box also purchased at Joan's.
These reindeer go all the way around the box. Then this is where the glitter came in. I used score tape all the way around the box and added glitter to it. I can tell you there was way more glitter spread around the house than is on the box.
This is an angled view to show the whole effect.
My son announced to me that crafting for me is like Meth .... I have to agree it is an addiction of mine. But I see it as an artful addiction. I figure I can't go wrong with that.

We Can Build A Snowman
Good Morning Ladies,
I was up early today. Sleep did not come easy last night. Who knows why. Some nights are just like that. So much work to do this weekend with Christmas coming at me full bore.
Here is a card for you today.... We Can Build A Snowman
This card was created using a stamp set from CTMH. This is the set that also has the ice skates image in it. I am loving this set. The image was stamped on bristol paper and colorized with prisma pencil, gamsol, stickles, and a stardust pen. It was then cut with a spellbinders set as well as the two mats behind it. The paper that covers the card base is from a DCWV stack. A martha stewart punch was used to create the glitter card stock lace at the bottom to which I added gold glitter ribbon. Buttons top this card off.
This is the inside of the card.

Doggy Christmas Tag
Good Morning Ladies,
Well there is snow on the ground. Not my favorite thing...but part of living in northwest Indiana. The dogs love the snow so that is the bright side of it.
I have a Doggy Christmas Tag today....
This tag was created on a manilla tag base from river city rubber. It was covered in dsp from provo craft. The dog motif was stamped on bristol paper and then colorized with prisma pencil and gamsol. It was cut with a spellbinders die set as well as the mat below it. The mat is double sided card stock from Kaiser. The ties are white ribbon with jingle bells on the ends. A flat back candy cane tops this tag off.

Joans Challenge Blue and White
Good Morning Ladies,
I had a wonderful time at the dog show. Still wonderful weather for December. So driving was a breeze.
I have created and entry for Joans Challenge Blue and White You can find the challenge by clicking on this link... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/12/this-weeks-challenge.html
The challenge requirements are...
use something oval
blue and white
use an embossing folder
use some ribbon
I think I have it covered...so here is my card...
To create this card my mind went to white glitter card stock. I knew it was a must for a blue and white Christmas card. Three layers make up the base for my card. My top layer was embossed with a sizzix swirl embossing folder. It reminds me of swirling snow. I cut two ovals from a spellbinders set. The country house is a Memory Box die from Joans. I think this looks more like a church and that is the way I use it most of the time. My holly flourish is a Cheery Lynn die. I also purchased this from Joans. A flat back snowflake graces the bottom corner of the card. The satin bow tops this card off.
This is the inside of the card.
Thanks for another great challenge Selma and Joan!

Joans Tag Week Church
Good Evening Ladies,
Here I go again...two posts in one day. Well ...I have one more tag for Joans Tag Week Church
Here is the link to the challenge.... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/11/this-weeks-challenge_29.html
And here is my tag....
I started with a manilla tag. I inked it up using a Tim Holtz distressed ink pad and a make-up sponge. You can get Tim Holtz distressed ink at Joans. I stamped snowflakes on the background using another color of the distressed ink. I then cut a country house from a Memory Box Die that I purchased at Joan's. I think it looks more like a church. I tore white glitter paper to create the snow. I stamped the dog in brown ink on bristol paper and hand cut it out. I stamped the angel and colorized her with prima pencil, gamsol, and a stardust pen. I then stamped Peace and traced over it with the stardust pen.
A closer look.

Joans Tag Week Jolly Santa
Good Morning Ladies,
I have too many alarms going off this morning. Crunch time is already here for me. So much to do ... so little time. Here is another Joans Tag Week Jolly Santa. I am having a blast doing tags.
You can see the challenge here.... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/11/this-weeks-challenge_29.html
And here is my tag....
For this tag I covered the tag base with red, green, and blue ornament dsp. I cut a Cheery Lynn doily type die out green card stock. You can buy this and all of the Cheery Lynn dies at Joan's. My santa is an older stamp. I stamped him on bristol paper and cut him out. I put a spring thing on the back side to make Santa wiggle and jingle. What a jolly old fellow he is. Sparkly pom poms top this tag off.
A side view. I was trying to show the spring thing.

Doggy Christmas
Good Morning Ladies,
I had a great time at the dog show this weekend. Thanks to all who partook in my cards, ornaments, and tag!
My card today is Doggy Christmas and here it is...
This card started with the little doggie. I'm not sure what stamp company is he is from. I stamped him on bristol paper and colorized him with prisma pencil and gamsol. He was then cut out. I stamped him a second time and cut only his head so he pops. The snowflake trees were cut using a memory box die and green glitter paper. The solid tree was cut using a spellbinders die set. The red snowflake card stock set the perfect backdrop. The card base was covered in green glitter card stock. The sentiment is form inkadinkado.
This is the inside of the card.

Lady of the Lake scene
Good Morning Ladies,
It's off to the dog show again today. But first here is a card.... Lady of the Lake scene
This is a card I created for a challenge that never made it on to that challenge. I created this scene using the masking technique. This is two stamps. The background stamp is by stampscapes and the lion and lady image is by Third Coast Rubber stamps. The loin image was stamped first and masked. Then the lake image was stamped twice to get the length of the panel covered. This scene was stamped on Bristol paper. It was colorized with Prisma pencil and blended with Gamsol. Layered on black to show a thin line and then layer on dark green distressed type card stock from a Tim Holtz collection. A tie of tulle was added to the bottom. This card is blank inside.

Joans Tag Week Moose
Good Morning Ladies,
I am off to the dog show this morning and have a few things to do before I leave.
I have created another tag for Joans Tag Week Moose . You can see the challenge here and order lots of goodies from Joan... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/11/this-weeks-challenge_29.html
Here is my tag...
This tag was created using a mallina tag for a base. This tag was colorized using Tim Holtz distressed ink and a sponge to apply it. You can purchase Tim Holtz distressed ink at Joans. A small snowflake stamp was used to create the snow fall effect using another color of Tim Holtz ink. A snowflake tree was added. This snowflake tree was cut using a Memory Box die from Joan's. It was cut from green sparkle card stock. This tree is just plain fun. My moose is a flat back from my stash. He seemed to go perfect with this scene type tag. He is standing on snowy ice created using crystal laquer and diamond dust. You can also get diamond dust from Joans.
A closer look.

Joans Tag Week
Good Afternoon Ladies,
I am here for another round of Joans Tag Week ...You can see the challenge and entries here... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/11/this-weeks-challenge_29.html
My tag this afternoon is an Aussie dog tag....
To create this tag I started with a manilla tag as a base. I covered it in Tim Holtz card stock from the Christmas stack and card stock from the Echo Park pack. I stamped my aussie in black on white card stock. I then embossed it with clear embossing powder. I hand cut this out. My flower and leaf were created using a Heartfelt Creations stamp set that I purchased at Joans. I love this stamp company. Their stamps are out of this world cool! To finish this tag off I added ribbon to the bottom of the tag that matches the tie.

Joans Challenge Tag Week
Good Morning Ladies,
I am up and at it. Dogs have been let out and fed. They are now waiting for me to finish this post so they can have their second round out. I will be at a dog show this weekend. I am not showing but it will be fun.
It's Joans Challenge Tag Week over at http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/11/this-weeks-challenge_29.html So click on the link and come join us.
The requirements for this week is to created tags and they must use at least one thing you can purchase at Joan's. Fairly easy since this is my favorite place to shop. And Joan has the coolest dies around!
Here is my first entry.... Poodle Window Tag....
I created this tag starting with a manillia tag base. The tag base was covered in Tim Holtz Broken China Distressed Stain. It was swiped in streaks over the tag. You can buy distressed stain at Joan's. I then stamped snowflakes randomly on the background using a tim holtz distressed ink pad. Joan has these also. My poodle dog was stamped on bristol paper from the art dept. and colorized with prisma pencil and gamsol. He was then hand cut. A piece of dsp from lost and found was cut with a Cheery Lynn die from Joan's. I placed this piece over the stained and stamped tag base. I added a little stickles at the bottom of the window to create frost. The poodle was then popped up in front of the window. Rolled flowers cut from a Memory Box dies were created to finish this tag off. The rolled flower dies can also be purchased at Joan's.
This is a second view just a little closer.
I love making tags and have not done many as of late. Tags give you a chance to try out new products and ideas in a smaller format. What a great challenge! Thanks Joan and Selma!

SU Rose ornament
Good Morning Ladies,
Dave is sick with a cold. So I slept on the sofa last night trying to escape the germs. I am hoping that it works.
Today I have created a SU Rose ornament .
To create this ornament I started with the SU ornament bundle. I stamped and die cut each petal of the ornament. Each petal is three images put together to make one. I placed these on a spellbinder die cut base. Tulle was added. Store twine was added in loops. I cut ivy vines from a Cheery Lynn die for the next element. I topped this ornament off with a rolled rose for the center.
This is a side view.

Joans Card Week New Leash
Good Afternoon Ladies,
One more card for card week over at http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/11/happy-thanksgiving-to-you-all.html
Joans Card Week New Leash is my card.....
To start this card I choose an image from the now out of business Hannah Stamps. I don't know what happened to this company but I loved their stamps. I stamped her on bristol paper. I colorized her with prisma pencil, gamsol, and spica pens. This panel was seated on a purple glitter card stock panel. It was then placed on a pink shimmery panel. The pink checkered was tied around the purple panel only. And of course rolled flowers top this card off. I do love those rolled flowers. The die is from Memory Box. I get joy from making them.

Joans Card Week Rooster
Good Morning Ladies,
Ready for another card for Joans Card Week Rooster ....here is the link to see all of the entries.... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/11/happy-thanksgiving-to-you-all.html
I have a rooster card today...
To create this card I started with the rooster image from CTMH. I stamped him on craft card stock and cut him with a spellbinder die. I layered this on black card stock. This layer was added to a Graphics 45 card stock. You can purchase Graphics 45 at Joans. I love their style. I added wood beads from an old earring. I love to up cycle when I can. My vines are cut from a Memory Box die...this die can also be purchased at Joans along with the die for the rolled flowers.
My sister has chickens now and my mind seems to wonder that way. Life really does create art!

Purple Feather Ornament
Good Morning Ladies,
Another chilly one out there. I guess I better get used to it. I am trying to create like crazy. Here is a Purple Feather Ornament for you today....
This was fun to make. I created this ornament using a SU stamp and die set. Each petal of the ornament was made with three pieces creating a 3-D effect. I added feathers and was pleased with the outcome. A rolled rose graces the center.
A side view.

Labrador Dog Christmas Wreath
Good Morning Ladies,
I was out and about yesterday. I went and shopped small business Saturday yesterday with my great niece, my mom, my sister, my cousin, and a friend. I had a good time. La Porte has a lot of small businesses to shop. Oh the wonderment of my eyes. I saw the most awesome large standing Anna Lee reindeer at the UP Town shoppes. I did not buy it. But I did find the sweetest Anna Lee angel. She came home with me and will be happy up on the mantle with all of the other Anna Lees this Christmas!
I have a Labrador Dog Christmas Wreath for you this morning....
This wreath was created using a Labrador dog from a play set. He sits at the bottom of the wreath. I wrapped dog bone twill ribbon around the wreath. Next I added some of my handcrafted rolled flowers. These flowers are spritzed with red smootch. A ribbon and bells top this wreath off.
A closeup of the dog.
You can find this wreath for sale at the Co-op Shoppes in La Porte in booth #25.

Joans Card Week Life
Good Morning Ladies,
The chill is in the air. The dogs are liking it much more than me. They are frisky! I remember how frisky my horses used to be at this time of year. Me I'm just cold.
This week at Joans Card Week Life it's all about cards....any theme...just cards.... I have created yet another card for this week. The link is here http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/11/happy-thanksgiving-to-you-all.html Go check out all the glorious cards.
Here is my card....
No not a Christmas card....but a bright card. To create this card I stamped my image on teal blue card stock. I can't tell you who this image is from as it is in a plain clear wrapper. Wish I knew. I outlined the inside of the image with a star dust pen. I then cut it with a spellbinder die set and layered it with another. The other color of this card does not show true. It is more melon than orange. I cut a square layer and punched the corners with a Martha Stewart punch around the page set. I also used this set to punch the side element. My butterfly is cut using a Cheery Lynn die that can be purchased at Joan's. Pearls top this card off.
This is the inside of the card.

Joans Card Week Winter Wishes
Good Morning Ladies,
What a chilly morning compared to yesterday. It makes one want to stay inside in front of the fire. So that is what I am doing this morning.
I have another card for Joans Card Week Winter Wishes The link to this week is here http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/11/happy-thanksgiving-to-you-all.html

Joans Challenge Recycle Leg Cotton Wrapper
Hello Ladies,
I am creating late tonight. Or is it morning. Well ...It's just past midnight. This is it for me. Then it's off to bed.
I have another card for Joans Challenge Recycle Leg Cotton Wrapper .... You can check the challenge out here.... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/11/this-weeks-challenge_15.html
Here is my entry....
For this card my recycle item is the water. It was formerly a leg cotton wrapper from work. I work at a vet's office. I took the wrapper and wadded it up several times. I then tore it into long strips to create water. My image is from Eat Cake Graphics. It was stamped on Bristol board and colorized with Prisma pencil, Gamsol, and Copic markers. The clouds are cut from a die from Memory Box. You can purchase this die at Joans. My sun was created using the Cheery Lynn die set build a flower one. You can also purchase this at Joans Gardens. I had purchased the build a flower one die when it came out. I used it for an ornament center the other day. I need a sun for this card. As I was looking through my dies it caught my eye. I said to myself "I can make a cool sun out of this die!" Well it worked perfect. You never know what you can do with a die when you purchase it. You just have to think out of the box sometimes.

Lagoon Blue Ornament
Good Morning Ladies,
The fog was intense last night. It fell quickly and silently. Safe travels for all in this area this morning. I have been keeping my hands busy creating for Christmas. Many of my creations are ready for you at the co-op shoppes in La Porte, IN. There are many other wonderful things there to choose from.
Here is another creation... Lagoon Blue Ornament
This ornament was made with a SU christmas bundle. I also used a spellbinder die and a cheery lynn die to create the snowflake center. A score board was used to crease the petals of this ornament. Jingle bells tied up with bakers twine top this ornament off.
A side view.
