Wild Rose Studio Christmas Mail

Good Morning Ladies,
I have been checking out all the  new products introduced at CHA. There is tons of new cool stuff to work with.
My card for today is ... Wild Rose Studio Christmas Mail
I know it's summer but I still have to created Christmas cards or they won't be finished in time for Christmas. The stamp featured on today's card is from a company in Australia. The company is Wild Rose Studio. I am in love with their stamps. This scene was colorized using Copic markers and stickles. It was then cut with a Spellbinders die set. The glitter card stock is from a Christmas stack from DCWV. Green glitter ribbon graces the side. A snowflake cut with a Spellbinder die with a pearl for the center tops this card off.
This is the inside of the card.

Crafter's Companion Sister Fairy

Good Morning ladies,
The weather is still nice and cool this morning. It has been good sleeping weather and I slept all night.
My card for today is... Crafter's Companion Sister Fairy
These new Crafter's Companion stamps are so cute. And I love fairies so that makes them double cute! I started with the fairy. I stamped her in Memento ink on Bristol paper. She was then colorized with Prisma pencil, Gamsol, and stickles. Pearls are added to the flowers and she was cut with a Spellbinders die set. She was then layered with a light purple die cut from the same set. A smaller die cut from the same set was used for the sentiment. At the bottom I added a border cut using a Martha Stewart punch.Wrapped with a ribbon with the sentiment added to the top. Purple rhinestones accent the sentiment. The floral group at the top was created using a Memory box die for the greenery. The flowers were created using spiral flower dies from Memory Box and Sizzix. A pearl sprig tops this floral grouping off. Rhinestones were added to the second mat.
 A close-up of the flowers.
This is the inside of the card.

Stampscapes Moonlit Palms

Good Morning Ladies,
It was a nice cool weekend. I loved it! My mom is doing great after her knee surgery. My sister and I took her for a trip to Wal-Mart yesterday. She got to do some shopping and then we drove her through Mc Donalds and she got an ice cream cone. We took her back home and I think we wore her out.
My card for today is Stampscapes Moonlit Palms ....
This is another scene I created on my stamp and camp weekend with my friend. It is created using all Stampscapes stamps on glossy paper. I used Andirodak inks to colorize the scene.

Joans Challenge Floral Background

Good Morning Ladies,
I received happy mail on Friday. I got my order from http://www.atjoansgardens.com/ . In that order was the die I won a couple of weeks ago. It is a cute suitcase die. I can't wait to use it. But also in the package were the flower dies I ordered. So I am doing another card for the challenge this week. Here is the link to the challenge: http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2013/07/this-weeks-challenge_25.html
The requirements this week are as follows:
Have three dimensional flowers with greenery
Use a floral design paper
Use a doily
You must use a product you can purchase at Joans
Here is my card....
Now for the details. This time I picked out my flower die first. This is the die I received in my order on Friday. Cheery Lynn B338 Black Eyed Susan Strip. These flowers were easy to make and they turned out so cute! The middle flower is made with the entire center strip. The two flowers on either end were made cutting the center strip in half and making two flower centers out of one. I can tell this is going to be a favorite! My greenery under the flowers were created using the following Memory Box dies -- Tender Leaves #98313, Lorelai Leaf #839, and Savannah Border #98221. All of these dies were purchased at Joans. For my Doily I used Cheery Lynn die DL221 Spring Flower Burst Doily. This die was also purchased at Joans. All these die were also Made In The USA. Now on to my little lamb stamp. I ordered this stamp from Joan. She is now carrying Our Daily Bread Designs Stamps. I love these stamps and she can order any one you want. This set is The Shepherd #F426. I have so many ideas for this stamp. This challenge was the perfect first time use for this set. The image is colorized with Prisma pencil and Gamsol. My background floral paper is from my stash and the company is DCWV.
A closer look at the flowers.
I just can't get over how cute this lamb is!
Thanks again for the great challenge Joan and Selma! And thanks Joan for carrying so many awesome products and ordering special requests for me.

Outhouse Bear

Good Morning Ladies,
It's the weekend and I will be creating and cleaning house. It is suppose to be nice and cool this weekend. So the windows are open and the fresh air is coming in. I love it!
My card for today is Outhouse Bear...
Camping makes your mind wander in a different direction. My friend had this outhouse stamp and I thought it was pretty cute for an outhouse. So I stamped it on Bristol paper and brought it home with me. I colorized it with Prisma pencil and gamsol. Sorry I don't know the company because it was an unmounted stamp and my friend didn't know the company either. My little bear is from a CTMH camping set. He was wearing a backpack which I cut off. He is also colorized with Prisma pencil and Gamsol. I popped him up on the scene. The little bees stamped on the blue card stock are from the same set. My sentiment is from a different CTMH set.

Joans Challenge Flower Background

Good Morning Ladies,
I am short on time this morning so I am going to get right down to it. I have created a card for Joans Challenge Flower Background
The requirements this week are as follows:
Have three dimensional flowers with greenery
Use a floral design paper
Use a doily
Use something you can purchase at Joan's Garden
Here is the link to the challenge ... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2013/07/this-weeks-challenge_25.html
Here is my card...
My first step in creating this card was to pick my floral background paper. I picked the sunflower paper from Graphics 45 French Country 6x6 pad I purchased at Joans. Next I picked the doily I wanted to use. My doily was cut from brown cardstock using the Cheery Lynn die Pinwheel Doily B209. I also purchased this die from Joan's Garden. I love this die. It is one I find myself using over and over again. For my greenery I used two shades of green cardstock and cut these from the Memory Box Meadow Leaf die #806 and the Cheery Lynn die Mini Fanciful Flourish B117S. Both of these dies were purchased at Joans. I then created my flowers using gold and brown cardstock. The petal edges were inked in rust. They are a double layer of petals and the centers. Between each layer is pop material. I pinched each petal. This is Cheery Lynn die DL 121 Sunflower. I purchased this die at Joans. It is one of the flower dies I love. You can purchase all of these dies at http://www.atjoansgardens.com/ I only have the French Country 6x6 pad so I had no other Graphics 45 elements to add. No problem I had the rooster on an old sheet of Flair paper. I cut him out and added him to my card.
A better look at the sunflowers.

The background paper is from DCWV. The sentient is stamped on a banner die-cut from Spellbinder die set. The edges of the banner are inked in blue. I am loving this stamp company!

Joan's Challenge Red and Green Christmas

Good Evening Ladies,
Two posts in one day. I didn't think I was going to be able to get a card done for Joan's Challenge Red and Green Christmas this week. But I created one this morning before I headed out to my day job. Here is the link to the challenge.... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2013/07/this-weeks-challenge_18.html
The requirements this week are as follows:
Make a Christmas card
Use the traditional red and green colors
Have something from nature
Use something you can purchase at http://www.atjoansgardens.com/
Here is my card...
This card started out with a snowflake embossing folder. I ran it through my Cuttlebug with red cardstock. I then inked the snowflakes in green. I cut the Tupelo Circle die by Memory Box #98500. I purchased this die from Joan. I laid it down first. I then cut the Memory Box Snowflake tree die #98405 with green cardstock. I also purchased this die from Joan. Then laid them down. Next I cut out my focal point for the card. Marianne die LR0178 Reindeer. I cut him with tan cardstock. I purchased this reindeer from Joan. I place him in the center of the circle. The roses were created using a Sizzix die and placed on the circle. Once the whole card was assembled I spritzed it with a shimmer mist.
Thanks for another great challenge Joan and Selma!

Stampscapes Cabin Scene

Good Morning Ladies,
I am loving this cool weather. So are the dogs! They are so playful and silly this morning. Dude is a ball of fire!
I have another card today I created while on my camping trip. Stampscapes Cabin Scene ...
This card was created using several Stampscapes stamps. They were stamped on glossy paper with memento ink. They were then colorized using makeup sponges and Andirondak inks. Scene stamping so fun! Every time you use these stamps you come up with something different. And the paper towel masking technique is so easy to created a scene.

No better way to beat the heat than creating a Christmas card. My friend gave me two sets of Inkadinkado Christmas stamps. I created this card with them. A big shout out to Darcy. Thanks Darcy! The peace image was stamped on Bristol paper with black Memento ink and colorized with Copic markers, and a stardust pen. It was hand cut. It was matted with two different blue card stock. The second mat was run through my new Darice 5x7 embossing folder. White ink was applied to the embossed snowflakes. Rhinestones were added to a few of the snowflakes. Felicity Blowing Bubbles

Good Morning Ladies,
The weather has been steamy humid and hot. So more creating inside to beat the heat.
My card for today is Felicity Blowing Bubbles
This card started with Felicity from Crafter's Companion. She is such a sweet little fairy. And I do love fairies! She was stamped on Bristol paper with black Memento ink. She was then colorized with Prisma pencil, Gamsol, and stickles. I die cut her with Spellbinders set Lacey Circles S4-293. She was mounted on a blue card stock square. DCWV floral paper covers the base card. A second circle was cut and the sentiment was stamped. I went around both circle edges with blue ink. Two butterflies were die cut with Cheery Lynn die set Tiny Things With Wings B266. This is an awesome die set for cards. To top this card off beaded trim in blue and white was added to the bottom.
A close-up of the beaded trim.
One of the butterflies.

This is the inside of the card using the same elements. The sentiment is from Sparkle and Sprinkle stamp set 396 Garden Fairies.

Joan's Challenge Peach, Green, and White

Good Morning Ladies,
I have three busy dogs working on hoofs with peanut butter in them. Miss Windy decided to get the whole crew up at 4:30 this morning.
Today I have a card I created for Joan's Challenge Peach, Green, and White
The requirements for this challenge are as follows:
Use the colors pastel peach, green, and white
Use some type of layered flower
Use a fancy corner and a heart
Use a product sold at Joan's
The link to the challenge is here : http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2013/07/this-weeks-challenge_11.html
Come join us!
Here is my card....
Let's see...where to begin... I started by creating my flowers. These flowers were created using the Marianne die LR0122 Pointsetita flower. I purchased this die at Joan's. I cut three layers for each flower out of peach card stock. I inked the edges of all the layers with Color Box pigment ink in frost white.  I then curled the edges of each layer and stacked them together. They were then popped up on the card with layers of pop dots. Tucked under each flower is a white leaf edged in Color Box pigment ink in the color of Papaya Cream. The leaves were created using Cheery Lynn Build A Flower #1 B181. I purchased this die at Joan's also. I have a habit of combining dies from different companies to create the look I want. Pearls were added to the flower centers. For my fancy corner I used the Cheery Lynn die DL151 Victorian Romance Flourish. This is one of my favorite corner dies. I purchased this die at Joan's. I received my E6000 spray glue from Joan's this past week. I used it to glue this fancy corner down. As Joan promised this glue is awesome. I sprayed it on and placed it down on the card. It stuck where it was put and no glue residue showed. This glue made putting down an intricate die easier and much faster. This is a product you must have! Next was to add a heart. I am very limited on heart dies. I don't know why. My heart was cut from Spellbinder die set Nested Hearts S4-296. It was cut from white card stock. The edge was inked with the same Papaya Cream. The sentiment is from Heartfelt Creations set HCPC 3404 Wedding Sentiments. A small peach pearl accents the top of the heart. To purchase any of these products go to http://www.atjoansgardens.com/  Be prepared she has all the new dies posted. So many beautiful and fun new ones. I have placed an order for sure!
A view of my layered flowers.
This is the inside of my card using the same elements as the front.
Thanks for another great challenge Joan and Selma!

Foul Language Rooster

Good Morning Ladies,
It looks to be a beautiful day out today. I think it is the perfect day for some fun. I wonder what I can get myself into today?!
I have a card for you today... Foul Language Rooster
This is a fun simple card that just needed to be created. The silly rooster image is from Lindy's Stamp Gang. I stamped him on Bristol paper with Memento ink. He was then colorized with Prisma pencil and Gamsol. I then cut him with a spellbinders die set and used the same set to mat him in brown. I layered the card base with tan cardstock and a piece of old Basic Grey cardstock from my scrap box. I used the same die set to stamp my sentiment on. All edges were inked with brown ink. A feather was tucked under the sentiment to complete the fowl look.

Art Impressions Ranch Fence

Good Morning Ladies,
It's going to be a busy weekend. I have a house guest of the four footed kind coming today to stay the weekend. A fun match on Sunday and a few other things along the way.
My card for today is Art Impressions Ranch Fence
This ranch fence image is an Art Impressions stamp. I ordered it from http://www.atjoansgardens.com/search/label/Art%20Impressions awhile back. It was in a group of stamps that I had not stamped yet. I stamped it on Bristol paper and cut it out with a Spellbinders oval set. It was colorized with Copic markers, Prisma pencil and Gamsol. The paper bag colored cardstock seemed to be a perfect background for this ranch fence. It is cut with a Spellbinders die set. When I looked at this die in a new way I think it looks like a western belt buckle. The trophy style that is. Now I see more options for this die. My background cardstock is of the western variety from Scrappin" Sports. All edges were inked with brown ink. The horseshoe die is from Quik Cutz and seemed to be the perfect accent for this card.
This is the inside of the card. This sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

YNS Sketch Challenge #2

Good Morning Ladies,
I went out to the county fair last night to have a look at the 4-H projects, the 4-H animals, and to eat some fair food. My food choices were a grilled ham and cheese sandwich, deep fried veggies, and a caramel apple with nuts. We also visited pioneer land at the fair. I met a wood carver that did the most beautiful work. His canes were amazing and his horses were beautiful. So worth the trip.
Today I have and entry for the YNS Sketch Challenge #2
You can see the sketch and the other entries here... http://ynschallenges.blogspot.ca/2013/07/yns-fun-friday-challenge-2.html
Here is my card....
For this card I started with the dragon image from Totally Stampalicious. I stamped it on Bristol paper and colorized him with Copic marker and a stardust pen. He was then cut out with a spellbinders die set. The second scallop circle is cut from the same set. The green cardstock banner was cut by hand. This was layered on two pieces of cardstock to cover my card base. The three rhinestones top this card off.
 A close-up of the dragon.

This is the inside of the card. It reads May the dragon of life only roast your marshmallows and never burn your buns.

Yappy Hour Scallop Step Card

Good Morning Ladies,
Boy is it humid here. The perfect weather for staying in and creating wonderful things. Our county fair is this week but I don't know if we will make it out there or not. If we do I will be getting my cotton candy I so love.
I have a card for you today that my friend and I learned how to make last weekend. It is a Yappy Hour Scallop Step Card. We got the instructions off of Splitcoast Stampers. And here it is....
This is a side view. The card was created using a scallop Spellbinders die set.
The front scallop holds a sentiment from Mr. Cricut Crazy. The paw print border is raised up with pop dots to create an step to hold the front scallop up.
The second scallop has a stamped image of paw prints from Our Daily Bread.
The last scallop has another image from Mr. Cricut Crazy.
My friend found these Mr. Cricut Crazy stamp sets at a garage sale. They are cute as a button. I went on the net to research and see if we could purchase more but could not find them anywhere.

Inky Antics Honey-Pop Turtle

Good Morning Ladies,
This past weekend my friend and I tried new things. My card for today is Inky Antics Honey-Pop Turtle. I have had this stamp set for quite some time but had not cracked it open yet. I have been trying to use things as I get them. But this one got lost in the shuffle. So here is the card...
Inky Antics has some of the cutest stamps. Is stamped the turtle and bird image on Bristol paper and colorized it with Copic markers. I then chose my paper according to the markers I used. The scallop squares and banner die-cuts were cut with Spellbinder die sets. The yellow edge was created using a Martha Stewart punch.
Next was the Honey-Pop part. I stamped the turtle head, feet and tail inside the card on the fold.  The turtle shell was then stamped on the Honey-Pop material and hand cut. It was attached to the inside of the fold and on each side. What a cute card Honey-Pop makes.

Joan's Challenge Double Oval ODB

Good Morning Ladies,
Monday and a new week. What will this week bring? More creating I hope. I have a second card for Joan's Challenge Double Oval ODB.
The requirements this week are:
Use a plain background
Use a double oval
Use a sentiment
Use any colors (at least two)

You may enter three cards this week...Here is the link to the challenge ... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2013/07/this-weeks-challenge.html come join us.
And now for my card....
This card started off with the Our Daily Bread image. Fishing Boat #F452. I purchased this image from Joan. I used it in a previous challenge in a very different way. This time around I thought the double oval was another perfect challenge for this stamp. I stamped it on Bristol paper with Memento ink. It was then cut with the oval Spellbinder set # S4-110. It was colorized with Prisma pencil, Gamsol, Copic marker, and a star dust pen. My second oval is Spellbinder die set S4-251. Joan also sells Spellbinders. I also double ovaled my sentiment from TPS. It was then time to accent this wonderful stamp. I used kitchen twine from the hardware store. I wrapped it three times around the mats and created a knot. To top this card off I added two brass charms. An anchor and a sailing fish. These charms are out of my stash.
A close-up of the ODB fishing boat.
The sailing fish.

 The anchor.
Thanks for another fantastic challenge Joan and Selma.

Impression Obsession Foal

Good Evening Ladies,
I am posting this evening because I had another great day with a great friend stamping. We tried some new things. Some worked some didn't. It is always fun to try new things and have a laugh or two. My card for this evening is nothing new. It was ready to go before we started this morning. I finished it off in the wee hours.
And here it is...Impression Obsession Foal
The foal image is from Impression Obsession. An amazing stamp I have had for a long time. I enjoy using it. I stamped it on Bristol paper with Memento ink. It was then colorized with Copic markers, Prisma pencil, and Gamsol. It was then mounted on brown cardstock. The striped cardstock that covers the card base is from Webster's Pages as well as the scallop oval cut from a spellbinders die set. The oval scallop is the backside of the cardstock. The rolled flowers were created by using a Sizzix die and a Memory Box die. Rhinestones accent the sentiment.
This is the inside of the card using the same cardstock, die set, and rhinestones.
