Good Morning Ladies,
It was a warm day yesterday, but I was inside at a dog show so I did not get to enjoy it much. It will be warm again today so I will catch bits and pieces of it at work.
Today's card is Graphics 45 Botanical Tea
This card was created using the Graphics 45 Botanical Tea 8 X 8 pad. I cut out one of the calling cards with a bird on it. It is layered with a shimmer cardstock and brown textured cloth like paper that has a shine to it. The background paper is from the same pad. The flowers were created using a Cheery Lynn flower strip die. All edges were inked in creamy brown chalk ink. The little butterfly charm hanging from a flower is a pink paisley embellishment. It tops this card off.
A close-up of the charm.

Graphics 45 Rooster Box French Country
Good Morning Ladies,
I am off to the dog show to work again today. I couldn't believe it snowed again yesterday. At least I wasn't missing out on the warm weather.
When I got home I went down and finished my project Graphics 45 Rooster Box French Country and here it is.....
This box was created using the Graphics 45 French Country pad. I have had the box for some time now. It was just waiting for the right idea to come along. The elements on the front of this box are from the first page in the pad. I hand cut different elements from that page. The box was stained using Tim Holtz walnut stain in the dabber bottle. I love that stuff! The entire box was stained inside and out. When the entire box was finished I rubbed Judi-Kins micro glaze over the entire thing to give it a protective coating. Yes, now it can be dusted.
All sides of the box have the sunflower paper from the same pad.
The inside of the box has the chicken wire paper from the same pad with sunflower accents left over from the sides.
This is the box with the lid slid open. The end result is pleasing. A one of a kind for sure.

Vintage Embossed Mother's Day Card
Good Morning Ladies,
I am off to work a dog show today. No, I'm not showing just working. I do have a card for you this morning it is a Vintage Embossed Mother's Day Card
This card started with the vintage embosses german cut of the little girl. I thought she was so sweet carrying all those roses. The back ground paper has a hint of glitter and is from a DCWV stack. I am busy using up all of the stacks in my stash so I can justify getting a few more new ones. The border is punched from white shimmer cardstock with a Martha Stewart punch. I have not used these punches in awhile and need to get back to them. The roses were created using a Sizzix die. The leaves are cut from a Memory Box die.
This is the inside of the card. The sentiment is from Image Tree and cut with a Spellbinders die set.

Graphics 45 Chicken Cart
Good Morning Ladies,
The wind is crazy out there this morning! It feels like a scene from the Wizard of OZ.
My card for today is Graphics 45 Chicken Cart
This card was created using the Graphics 45 French Country pads. I recently purchased these pads in 12 X 12 and 8 X 8. As you know I love Graphics 45. These worked perfect with the vintage embossed chicken cart I had in my stash. The rolled roses were created using a Sizzix die. A feather top this card off.
This is the inside sentiment by the Image Tree.

Joan's Challenge #6 Pink and White
Good Morning Ladies,
I am looking forward to the warmer weather that is coming in a couple of days or so. It will feel good!
It is time for the weekly challenge over at Joan's Touch. So I have a card for Joan's Challenge #6 Pink and White. You can see the beautiful cards and enter here http://joanstouch.blogspot.com/2014/03/challenge-6.html
Here are the requirements for this week:
Use some kind of lattice
Use the colors pink and white
Use some kind of flowers
Use something that can be purchased at http://www.atjoansgardens.com/
Terri has so many wonderful things to offer!
Here is my card....
I think this is an awesome challenge as I love pink! The card base is covered with a double pink striped card stock from Debbie Mum. On top of that I chose to use Cheery Lynn die FRM115 Lattice #2. This was cut from a white shimmer card stock. I purchased this die from Joan's and it has been one of my favorites. Once these two things were in place I was able to have vision to build this card. So the Picket Fence die from Poppystamps #827 was the perfect fit for the lattice. I also purchased this die from Joan's. This was cut in the same card stock as the lattice. My next choice for a die was a no brainer. I cut the Frantic Stamper die Loretta FRA-DIE-09091. This was a recent die I purchased from Joan's. I bought her after one of the challenges that called for a lady. I just love her! My roses were created using a Sizzix die from Tim Holtz cardstock. The little pink flowers are from my old stash. I added a heart charm with a ribbon tied to it to top this card off.
Loretta
The flowers.
This is the inside of the card. The sentiment is from the image tree. The Memory Box die Tupelo Circle #98500 circles the sentiment. This die was also purchased at Joan's.

Graphics 45 Bathing Suit Men
Good Morning Ladies,
It's Wednesday and I am still thinking of warmer weather. I think it is showing up in my creations more and more. The card I have for you today is Graphics 45 Bathing Suit Men. Just a fun card.
I cut the men from a sheet of Graphics 45 paper from the On The Boardwalk pad. The two mats that cover the card base came from the same pad. I stamped the Wowzers! on a piece of Graphics 45 paper from the French Country 6X6 pad. I love how you can use different pads of Graphics 45 and they go well together. A brass star fish charm tops this card off.
This is the inside sentiment. The happy Birthday is from a The Stamps of Life set. A spellbinders die set show cases the sentiment.

Crafty Secrets Postcards
Good Morning Ladies,
Wow! I wake up and the ground is blanketed in snow again and it is still snowing. This is the longest winter I ever remember. So I guess I will just keep creating!
Today I have Crafty Secrets Postcards for you...
These postcards were created using a Crafty Secrets Vintage Postcard kit. This kit has been in my stash for a long time. I don't even know if they make them anymore. Each postcard has one extra added on in the form of a postage stamp, heart or star. Brown chalk ink was used to edge everything. The very last picture shows the back of the postcards. Stamped with black Memento ink with the stamps that came along with the kit.

The Stamps of Life Daises
Good Morning Ladies,
I did get time to create this weekend. Still being cold outside it was not hard to stay in and create. A big break in the weather would be nice. But we are in for a few more days of cold.
My card for today is The Stamps of Life Daises
This card was created using this month's The Stamps of Life stamp set Crazy 4 Daisies and the matching dies. The daisies were stamped on almost a tone on tone card stock from DCWV then die cut. The petals were curled back with jewelry pliers. Buttons were added to create the flower centers. Green picot ribbon was run down either side of a gate fold card. The flowers were then attached with pop dots.
The inside has a sentiment from the same set. It is cut with a Sizzix thin-lits die set.

Graphics 45 Beach Babe
Good Morning Ladies,
I ran out to the truck this morning and I had a light dusting of snow on my windshield. Ah it's the never ending winter. Well I have warmer weather on the brain. My card for today is Graphics 45 Beach Babe
This card was created using the Graphics 45 pad On The Boardwalk. The beach babe was cut out and applied to cream card stock. The edges were inked in brown chalk ink. The background card stock is from the same pad. The post card was also cut from the same sheet as the beach babe. It's edges were also inked in brown chalk ink. Sea glass was added to the cream mat for texture. To top this card off real sea shells were added.
A close-up of the beach babe and sea glass.
A shot to show the sea shells.

Barn Owl
Good Afternoon Ladies,
I have been out and about this morning. It is cold out but the sun is shining. So that is a good thing. The days are getting longer, so happy am I.
I took new cards down to my booth at the Co-op Shoppes and a few old Disney toys. I have loads of stamping and scrapbooking mags for your crafting needs also.
My card today is Barn Owl
This card started out with the vintage embossed barn owl. I went to look about for cardstock and settled on these colors. The second layer on my card base is embossed with the Cuttlebug Oriental Weave embossing folder. I had pieces left over from Joan's challenge it is the Barbed Wire Fence die from Frantic Stamper. I just love that die! It worked well with the barn owl. The woodland branch die from Memory Box tops this card off.

Joan's Touch Challenge #5 neutral
Good Afternoon Ladies,
I woke up to snow this morning. But now the sun is shining and the snow is melting away. The next three days are suppose to be on the cold side. But we will see as mother nature is playing games with us.
I have created another card for Joan's Touch Challenge #5 neutral You can see and join the challenge here http://joanstouch.blogspot.com/2014/03/challenge-5.html
Here are the requirements this week:
Colors: neutral
Use a picture (any kind)
Add a fancy corner or flourish
Use something that can be purchased at Joan's Gardens http://www.atjoansgardens.com/
Here is my second entry for this week.....
I once again looked to my faux family purchased at an auction or antique store for my picture. This time a lovely young woman in her beautiful home. I love the curtains in the photo. I recently purchased the new Graphics 45 Botanical Tea 8x8 pad from Terri over at Joan's Garden. So I wanted to use the beautiful paper from this pad. That is what is covering my card base. I thought it went nicely with the photo and theme. Next I needed a fancy corner. My corner is from Cheery Lynn B173 Lace Corner Deco H. I purchased this set of corners from Joan's Garden. This was cut from black card stock. My mats are grey, black, and off white. This card needed a little bit more. This time I did not create a flower myself but instead used a Prima flower from one of the flower towers. I added a grey button for the center. Just the flower sitting there was not a good look but the flower was a match for this card. So I went back to my dies and found a die I thought went nicely. This die is from Memory Box Cottage Leaf #98342. This is a graceful looking die. This was also purchased from Joan's Garden. I added a black pearl sprig to the flower. To top this card off I added two pearls to two of the corners.
My corner.
The flower.

Joan's Challenge #5 Neutral
Good Morning Ladies,
Another round of Joan's challenges! What fun! This week is Joan's Challenge #5 Neutral
The requirements this week are as follows:
Colors-Neutral
Use a picture
Use a fancy corner or flourish
You must use a product sold at Joan's Gardens http://www.atjoansgardens.com/
You can see and enter the challenge by clicking this link http://joanstouch.blogspot.com/2014/03/challenge-5.html
Of course my card is out of the box....I wanted to use a new die I bought at Joan's Gardens. So here is my entry....
This was a fun card to make. My photo is from an antique store. I rode and showed horses for 18 years. So when I came across this old photo with a few others I had to have it not knowing what I would do with it. This challenge gave me the perfect chance to show it off. My layers to cover the card base are grey, white texture, and black. The new die I purchased at Joan's is the Barbed Wire Fence by Frantic Stamper FRA-DIE-09122. This die is awesome. The fence posts are cut from dark bark cardstock and the barbed wire is cut from grey card stock. I cut the Galloping Stallion from Poppystamps die #996 . This die can also be purchased from Joan's Garden. The stallion is cut from the white textured stock. For my flourish I used Memory Box die Star Flourish #98681. This was also purchased from Joans Garden. I cut this flourish twice. My second cut I made into two pieces. I layered it up to make a corner. In my book horses are stars so this pulled it together for me.
Thanks for another great challenge Joan! A shout out to Terri for keeping Joans Garden alive and well!!

Good Morning Ladies,
It is a little chilly out there this morning. I did hear the birds singing. That made me smile. It got me thinking about warm weather again and that lead me to think about camping. And my card for today is CTMH Happy Camper !
This card started with the camper and sentiment. This is from the clear stamp set by CTMH ( Close to My Heart) C1578 Camper Crazy. This is a set that I know I will use over and over again. I stamped the camper on Bristol paper and colorized it with Copic markers. It was then cut out with a spellinders die set as well as the matching mat underneath in pink. The sentiment was stamped on the same cardstock as the pink mat and hand cut. The paper and cardstock that covers the card base are from Imaginese and DCWV. A white ribbon tops this card off.

This is the link to the challenge. http://joanstouch.blogspot.com/2014/03/this-weeks-challenge-3.html
The requirements this week are as follows:
Use an embossing folder
Use the colors Green and White
Use an oval
Must use something that can be purchased at Joan's Gardens http://www.atjoansgardens.com/
I just purchased new dies from Joan's so I knew straight away what die I was going to use for this challenge. So here is my entry....
The new die I purchased from Terri over at Joan's is the focal point of my card. It is by the Frantic Stamper Inc. Toutou the French Poodle. Die #FRA-DIE-09093. I am in love with this die and so happy I could use it in a challenge right away! I used three layers of card stock on the card base. The top level is embossed with a Darice paw print embossing folder. It is inked with Brilliance Pearlescent Ivy ink. For my oval I used Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Ovals Large in the same three colors of card stock I used on the base card. These can be purchased from Joan's. I have a stash of silk flowers and dove into those and found white roses. Crystal sprigs were added underneath the roses. To top this card off I added a ribbon tie to the side.
For the inside of the card I used a Cracker Box Palace sentiment.
Thanks for another great challenge Joan!
Happy Scraps,
Mrs. Swandog

Milk Can Sunflowers
Good Morning Ladies,
They are calling for more snow this morning. What a long winter. I keep saying warmer weather is coming. I am hoping it will get here soon. Bring on the mud season!
I have created a Milk Can Sunflowers card for today....
The Milk Can Sunflowers image is from CTMH clear set( D1543 Country-Born Seasons and Nature.. It was stamped on Bristol paper with Momento ink. It was then colorized using Prisma pencil and Gamsol. Cut with a spellbinders die set as well as the two die cuts below it. The cardstock and papers are from Daisy D's, DCWV, and Graphics 45.The sentiment comes from the same set. A piece of kitchen twine tops this card off.
A close-up of the milk can.
The inside sentiment is from Hampton Arts.
I hope the sunflowers bring you a sunny day!

CTMH Horses Get Well
Good Morning Ladies,
The temps have dropped again. It does not feel like March at all. And we had more snow yesterday.
I did book the camping for my dad and uncle yesterday. I hope May is a little bit warm.
Today my card for you is CTMH Horses Get Well
I used two different CTMH sets on this card. I stamped the horse and riders (B1158 Trail Markers set) on Kraft cardstock. Theses pieces were cut with a spellbinders set. The cinch straps (D1231 Lovely Buckles set) on Kraft cardstock and hand cut them. The cinch straps are really belt straps. I just love when something can be used with another set and create a whole different look. The layer of paper under the horses and straps is from a Prima pad. All edges are inked in brown.
The inside sentiment is from Clear Dollar Stamps. I thought it fit perfect with the card front.

CTMH Hug Around The Neck
Good Morning Ladies,
It snowed again....I feel as if this winter is never going to leave us! I did make good use of yesterday as far as creating goes. I have been playing with a few Close To My Heart stamp sets.
My card for today is CTMH Hug Around The Neck. And here it is ....
This is a new stamp set my mom purchased from Kathy Anderson. It is set D1543 Country-Barn Seasons & Nature. This set is so easy to work with. I started with the bushel of apples. They were stamped on Bristol paper with Momento ink. They were then colorized with Prisma pencil and Gamsol. Next I choose my paper. The dsp is from an old Daisy D's pad. I have been using paper from my stash. It is better to share it, than keep it stored away somewhere. If it is stored I can't even enjoy it. The red layer is corregated cardstock from DCWV. And of course kraft cardstock. My sentiment ink is Archival in the color coffee. All edges were inked with brown color box ink. A piece of kitchen twine from the hardware store tops this card off.
