Good Mid-Morning Ladies,
Yes I'm back again. Joan put out the new challenge and off to the table I went. This week it's Joan's Challenge Vintage Card .
Here is the link to the challenge... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2013/01/this-weeks-challenge_31.html
So here is my first entry.....
The only requirement this week is that it be vintage...
This card started with the floral bird image. This is a See-D's image. I don't know if they are even around anymore. I stamped this image on bristol paper. It was then colorized with prisma pencil, gamsol, and liquid pearls. You can order liquid pearls from Joan. In the lower corner I stamped a sentiment from Stampendous. I layered this up with blue textured cardstock and green shiny textured cardstock. The leafy vine and rolled flower are created with Memory Box Dies from Joan's. To top this card off I added a white ribbon with just a touch of gold.
This is the inside of my card with a sentiment from the same Stampendous set.
Thanks for a wonderfully freeing challenge Selma and Joan!
Happy Scraps,
Mrs. Swandog

Muscle Dog
Good Morning Ladies,
Well we are back to snow. What is the upside...well no more mud dogs.
Today I bring you the card Muscle Dog ....just for fun...
This card was created using another new stamp set I purchased from Totally Stampalicious. I colorized the dog using Copic markers. I then hand cut him. He was added to the card using an action wobble. I am loving the action wobbles it just adds fun to a card. I kept this card simple. Three layers of card stock the sentiment and a little navy blue glitter ribbon.
This is the inside of the card using more of the same set.

Happy Birthday Dragon
Good Morning Ladies,
We are about to head in to cold weather and finish up winter. I wish spring were here already but nature will make me wait.
Today the card is Happy Birthday Dragon
To create this card I started with the dragon from totally stampalicious. These stamps are so very cute. I stamped him on bristol paper using memento ink. He was then colorized with Copic markers. I cut this image using a spellbinders set along with the yellow mat underneath him. Cut with the same spellbinder set is the sentiment that reads "Have a magical day! This is applied with a wobbler. I am loving the wobblers. Matching mats were added to the card base. A green and white checked ribbon tops this card off.
Showing the lift of the wobbler....

Joan's Challenge Pink and White Cherish
Good Morning Ladies,
I am grateful for the break in the weather and the really warm temps. I will have mud dogs on my hands today but that is ok.
I am entering Joan's Challenge again. This one has been a lot of fun for me. Here is the link so you can go check out all of the beautiful cards entered.... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2013/01/this-weeks-challenge.html
The requirements are:
Create a pink and white card
Add a pretty border
Add at least one heart
Here is my card...
To start this card out I grabbed the dogwood Memory Box stamp I won in Joan's Challenges in late 2012. I was waiting for the just the right challenge to use this stamp in. I colorized the flower with Prisma pencil, gamsol and stickles. All the layers are pink textured with a sheen and white glitter card stock. I used a ek success heart border punch on the lower pink layer. For my pretty border I used a Martha Stewart leaf vine. My sentiment is an image from fiskars. .I filled the heart with stickles.
I found this to be the perfect pretty wedding card. This is the inside sentiment from Heartfelt Creations that I purchased from Joan.

Happy Birthday Twinkle Toes
Good Morning Ladies,
I am off to a dog seminar this morning with Dude and Windy. I thought I would post a card quick before I leave. So here goes.... Happy Birthday Twinkle Toes
I ordered from a new stamp company. It is called Totally Stampalicious! The have cute stamps and sarcastic stamps. Of course the ones I ordered are the cute ones. I stamped the ballerina on Bristol paper and colorized her with copic markers. I then hand cut her out. And then the layers started. The shaped layers are cut using a spellbinders set. Starting with the white glitter card stock I know it looks crooked. But alas it is not. It is secured with an action wobble. This makes the ballerina jiggle. I topped this card off with a purple and white checked ribbon.
This shot shows the lift of the action wobble.

Joan's Challenge Pink and White Heart
Good Morning Ladies,
I am hoping to get my new glasses today. They are suppose to be in. This will be a great day. I will not have to worry that my lenses will fall out.
Last week I did not participate in Joans Challenge. I don't know why. I have no good reason. But this week I have a card already for Joan's Challenge Pink and White Heart . Click on this link http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2013/01/this-weeks-challenge.html to see this weeks challenge.
The requirements are:
Create a pink and white card
Use at least one heart
Use a pretty border
I have it covered. Here is my card...
Of course this card started with inspiration from Joan and Selma. First I picked my pinks and my white. I decided to go with two tones of pink. I used textured card stock and white glitter card stock. The border punch is from EK Success. The heart round were cut using a spellbinders set. My single heart was punched with a Martha Stewart punch. My rolled flower was cut from a Memory Box die. The leaves underneath were cut with a Cheery Lynn die. A pearl sprig was added under the flower. A pink and white ribbon from CTMH tops this card off.
This is the inside of my card. The front made me think of a pretty valentine.
Thanks for another great challenge Selma and Joan.

Cave Boy Birthday
Good Morning Ladies,
I have been missing in action. I don't really know what I have been doing. I went to a scrap event on Saturday night and Sunday. I had a really good time. Believe it or not I did get some stamping done. I just need to make them into cards now.
I do have a card for today.... Cave Boy Birthday
Boy cards seem to always be needed....
This card started with images from Clear Dollar Stamps. I stamped the cave boy and dino on bristol paper and colorized them with copic markers. They were then hand cut. The jungle leaf print seemed to fit well with these images. I tore a piece of lime green card stock and attached it to ground my images. The images were popped up with CTMH pop tape. I stamped my sentiment and cut it using a spellbinder die.The sentiment has a jiggly spring on the back for fun.

Love Valentine
Good Morning Ladies,
I had an eye appointment yesterday. I broke my glasses on Tuesday and could not for the life of me find my spare pair. It was time for an eye exam anyway. So then I had to pick out new glasses. The process is always painful. It's like buying curtains. You just can't find the perfect set or pair.
Today I bring you a Love Valentine
This is a clean and simple valentine. No animals...can you believe it?! The main focal point of this card is an image from Autumn Leaves. Stamped on red cardstock and hand cut. The heart is cut from a spellbinder die set. The cardstock is glitter. The black cardstock is glitter also. Red and black heart ribbon graces the bottom of this card. A red heart shaped faux gemstone tops this card off.

Happy Easter Bunny
Good Morning Ladies,
I'm switching tracks a little bit here this morning. I am still working on Valentine cards but have decided a spring card was a good idea. I am always waiting for spring as the winters seem to get harder and harder for me. I am not really a fan of the cold.
So here is a Happy Easter Bunny card....
I created this card using a bunny image from peachy keen stamps. Their stamps are so cute! I stamped the bunny on bristol paper and colorized him with copic markers. He was then cut using a spellbinder die set. He is matted with DCWV sparkle dot paper and textured pink card stock. The sentiment is from the image tree. It is stamped on a spellbinder banner die cut. A pink sheer ribbon tops this card off.

spring bird nest
Good Morning Ladies,
I have been working on projects left and right. Cold weather is a great time to create. It keeps me inside more and not running around so much.
The project I have for today is a spring bird nest . When it is cold I like to think about spring.
This project started with the bird nest. I added a feathered bird. I rolled some flowers using a memory box die in blue. Pearl sprigs were added. I then cut a banner shape using a spellbinders die set. I stamped the sentiment on to this and inked the edges.
Another view.

CTMH Scotty Dog Birthday
Good Morning Ladies,
I got up to a very cold morning. I do not like the cold. I will have to get my truck heated up before I leave for work this morning.
My card for today is CTMH Scotty Dog Birthday
I used this stamp set to create a Valentine card and posted it the other day. Now I have used it to create a birthday card. I love sets that are versatile.
This is a simple card of layers. The dog was stamped in Memento ink and colorized with prisma pencil, gamsol, and copic markers. A ribbon tops this card off.
And a Happy Birthday on the inside!

Turtle and Chick Easter
Good Morning Ladies,
I stayed in bed a little extra this morning. It just seemed the like the right thing to do. I am now thinking it was a not so good idea as I fell an hour behind.
The dogs have been out to run and are a muddy mess. So they are resting in their crates. This is just a little window in what lies ahead when the real spring comes around.
Speaking of Spring ..... I have a Turtle and Chick Easter card for you today...
The image is another from Stamping Fools. I adore their stamps. I purchased this stamps from the Indy stamp show last year. I am hoping they are back again this year! I stamped the image on Bristol paper and colorized it with Copic markers. This was then cut and matted with a spellbinders die set. A ribbon tops this card off.
This is the inside of the card. The sentiment is from Heartfelt Creations.

Joan's Challenge Blue and White and Add a Flower
Good Evening Ladies,
I started my card for Joan's Challenge Blue and White and Add a Flower early this morning. It is now finished. So it's late but it is done.
You can see the challenge here... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2013/01/this-weeks-challenge_10.html
The requirements are:
create a blue and white card
Use four corner dies
make it a Thank You card
add a flower
Here is my card.....
I started out with the poodle stamp. I stamped it on bristol paper and colorized it using copic markers. I then cut it with a spellbinders set as well as the blue textured card stock and the glitter card stock. I created my flower with one of my favorite Cheery Lynn dies from Joan's. The sunflower die. The thank you stamp is for a friend. For my four corner dies I used the Cheery Lynn olive branches die. Another favorite from Joan's. I was going to use regular corner dies, but then I thought why not think outside the box. Another one of my favorite things to do.
Here is the inside of my card.
Thanks for another great challenge Selma and Joan!

Cupcake Turtle Valentine
Good Morning Ladies,
I guess the rain lulled me to sleep. I slept in a little this morning. I really did not want to do that but it is what it is.
Today my card is Cupcake Turtle Valentine
This turtle image is from Stamping Fools. He is very cute and I think would make a great Birthday card also. I stamped him on bristol paper and colorized him with copic markers. He is popped up on a heart die-cut created with a spellbinders die set. The sentiment on the front is also cut with the same die set. Pearls grace the tops of the hearts.

turtle card
Good Morning Ladies,
Today is the day I go to get my hair done. I love going to the beauty shop and getting my hair done. It is relaxing for me. My sister is my beautician and she does a wonderful job.
My card for you today is a turtle card.....
Here's that cute turtle again from Inky Antics. This time I used him with the sentiment stamp from the same set. This is a pretty simple card. I colorized him with copic markers and hand cut him. He sits on two layers cut from a spellbinder set. The card base was double matted with the same card stock. A green and white ribbon finishes this card off.
This is the inside sentiment. A little corny but that's perfect for me.

Duck Valentine
Good Morning Ladies,
It looks like we are headed into the mud season early. The dogs are off and running this morning another bath will be required soon I fear.
My card for today is Duck Valentine
Another valentine using Inky Antics stamps. I just love them. This is a simple card that evokes memories of that childhood valentines box for school made out of a shoe box.

Be Mine Turtle
Good Morning Ladies,
Another Valentine today. Be Mine Turtle....
This card was created using an Inky Antics turtle. He did not come as a Valentine set but I thought he was perfect for one. I colorized him using Copic markers. The hearts are from a cricut cartridge.

Long Time Giraffe
Good Afternoon Ladies,
I have been working away on Valentine cards. But other cards are begging to be created. So a card here a card there are not Valentines. Here is one that is not a Valentine....
Long Time Giraffe ....
Another card made with the stamps my mom gifted me...
This giraffe is another Inky Antics image. He was stamped on Bristol paper and colorized with Copic markers. Yes I busted my copics out. He was then hand cut. The sentiment is from the same set. Two colors of textured card stock seemed right for this cute guy. I used a spellbinder set to frame him out.

Lion Valentine
Good Morning Ladies,
I am up and at it early as usual. I'm going to do a little laundry today. More creating is on the agenda. What is a cold winter day for anyway.
I have a Lion Valentine for you today! This card was created using another stamp set my mom got for me. It is from Inky Antics.
I think this Inky Antics lion is just delightful. I stamped, cut and colorized him three times. He is 3-D popped up on the card using CTMH pop tape. The hearts were cut by my mom and my friend. The sentiments are from the same Inky Antics set. Dsp covers the card base. Next is a layer of white glitter paper. To top this card off a knotted ribbon is tied at the bottom.
A view of the 3-D lion.

Labrador Dog Sweetheart
Good Morning Ladies,
I am getting back into the swing of things by creating some Valentine cards. I love pink and red anyway, so I am enjoying this. I did get four new dog stamps in and am creating with the stamps my mom got me for Christmas. I love having new stamps for a new year!
Here is my first valentine.... Labrador Dog Sweetheart
To create this card I started with my new black Labrador dog stamp. I stamped him on bristol paper with black memento ink and then hand cut him out. The heart shape was cut by a friend of mine with her cricut. The back ground paper was all the embellishment that this card needed.
This is the inside of the card.
