Good Morning Ladies,
The dogs are giving me a run for my money today. They go out...they come in and eat. Then I have a little time before they need out again. This morning after they ate they felt the need to go right back out. They should settle for awhile now so I can get this post finished.
I have been working on ornaments. Not all my ornaments are christmas themed. Variety is the spice of life they say.....today I have created a Wicked Ornament ....
I created this ornament starting with a paper mache' ornament base. The background paper is from Martha Stewart. A halloween collection. My images are from Graphics 45. I stamped the witch on bristol board and colorized her with prisma pencil, gamsol, and spica pen. Her watch has crystal laquer on the face. I mounted her to an oval cut with a spellbinders set in black textured card stock. I hand cut the word wicked.
This is the side view of the ornament covered in green glitter.

Peace On Earth Penguins
Good Morning Ladies,
It is pretty chilly out again this morning. I guess fall is here so I'd better enjoy it while I can. The dogs are much more frisky in the morning romping and playing. It does feel good after the heat this summer.
To go along with the chilly weather I bring you a card.... Peace On Earth Penguins ...
The penguin image is from Sweet Stamps. I stamped it on bristol board and colorized it with prisma pencil and gamsol. To create the ice I used crystal laquer and diamond dust. I matted this scene out with a blue snowflake card stock and black card stock. The finishing touch to this card is the white satin bow on top.

Joans Challenge Snowman
Good Afternoon Ladies,
I went on a long road trip yesterday for a visit. So no time to blog. Today I am stuck home doing laundry among other things. But I just had to take time out to bring you my card I created for Joans Challenge Snowman Here is the link to the challenge http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/09/this-weeks-challenge_20.html
The challenge requirements are...
Use a tree
Use blue and white colors
Use a corner embellishment
Use a snowman
This is a fun challenge for sure...
Here is my card...
When I saw snowman as a requirement this guy by peachy keen stamps came right to mind. He is such a cutie. I stamped him on bristol board and colorized him with copic markers. I used diamond dust for the fur on his stocking cap. A blue and white dsp is my background. For my tree I used a spellbinders die set. Torn strips of white glitter card stock create the snowy hill he is tubing down. For my corner embellishment I used a cheery lynn die cut from the same glitter card stock as the hill. The dies can be purchased at http://www.atjoansgardens.com/
Thanks Selma and Joan for another great challenge!

Halloween Candy Containers
Good Morning Ladies,
I am starting to prepare for the Halloween season. I have posted a couple of Halloween cards in the past few days. I am now working on Halloween Candy Containers. My my are they fun!
Here is the first of my creations....
My bottle is a sitting a little crooked. Oh what the heck it's for Halloween. Isn't everything a little crooked on Halloween! The label on it says Halloween is a real treat! The mummy on this one is not so spooky. He is a kinder gentler looking mummy. He is colorized with shimmer paint. Inside this bottle contains caramel apple milky way minis.
This is the lid on the bottle. A little witch.
There are ghosts on each side of the mummy.

Skeleton Stair Step Card
Good Morning Ladies,
I am back with another card for Joans' stair step card challenge. I was waiting for my other Halloween dies to come, but alas they will not be here until today. So I had to move on without them. If time permits I may create yet another stair step card.
You can find the challenge by clicking on this link ... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/09/this-weeks-challenge_13.html
Here is my Skeleton Stair Step Card
I created this card using several dsp. The iron fence is from memory box dies that I purchased at http://www.atjoansgardens.com/ It is perfect for any Halloween scene. The stamped images are also from different companies. I love creating Halloween projects. They are just plain fun!
Here is a side view of the card.

lilac and lace Christmas
Good Morning Ladies,
I had a full day yesterday. I took a walk with Dude and a friend. We had a lovely time. Then it was off to the local festivals. Three of them in fact. I had not been in years. It was fun and interesting. I was able to buy my cheese curds and a few no bake cookies. It was a great day all around.
Last night I created a card lilac and lace Christmas for the challenge over at http://christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/lilac-and-lace.html This is a fun challenge blog. It is all about christmas every week. Take some time to check it out. You will be inspired!
For this challenge the requirements are to
Use Lilac
Use Lace
And as always it must be Christmas
So here is my entry....
For this card I started out with an image from Motivet. I stamped this cute squirrel image on bristol board and colorized her with Prisma pencil, Gamsol, and Copic markers. I then cut her out using a spellbinder die set. I placed her on top of two layers using a different spellbinders die set. One layer is glitter card stock. My sentiment is from CTMH. I stamped it, colorized it and hand cut it. My lace is at the bottom with a piece of ribbon across it. To accent this card I used buttons. My sister and another gal told me to add buttons to some of my creations. So I did and I love it! Thanks guys!

Star Struck Dog
Good Morning Ladies,
I am fighting a headache this morning. I don't know why, but it must go away. Too much to do today!
This morning it is a Star Struck Dog card. This one may not suit everyone...it is a little different. Here it is...
To create this card I started with the woman in the moon stamp by stampland. I stamped this on La Blanche paper. I then colorized it with Tim Holtz distressed ink in three colors. I then took crystal lauquer and added it to the yellow stars and the stars in the upper left hand corner. This gives it shine and texture. I matted this on three layers. The yellow layer is a glitter card stock. My dog is an inkadinkado image. I stamped this on bristol board in black and swiped distressed ink across it. I added yellow gel pen to the spots and cut him out. He was popped up on the star panel.
Have a great weekend!

Joans Challenge Stair-Step Card
Good Morning Ladies,
It's Friday! Looking into the weekend I think it will be a nice easy laid back one. Sunflower fest is this weekend here in La Porte, IN. I may take a trip in to town and see what is offered this year.
To start my day off today I am bringing you a card for Joans Challenge Stair-Step Card . You can check out the challenge here.... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/09/this-weeks-challenge_13.html
The challenge requirement is to make a stair-step card. The rest is up to you. I love this challenge as I love stair-step cards.
So here is my card......
This is a center stair-step card. I will start with my back step. For this step I cut a screen door in red from Cheery Lynn. You can get this die from Joans. You can't see it in the photo but I backed it with acetate to create a storm door. I attached a Christmas wreath to the door. For my next step I stamped a schanuzer on bristol board and colorized him with Gamsol and Prisma pencil. He was then cut out and popped up on this step. On the front I cut a banner from a Spellbinders die set and stamped the sentiment Happy Holidays. I colorized this with Prisma pencil and Gamsol. My trees are from my trip to the auction. They are sculpted and finished with a glitter flock.
A different view of my card showing the steps.
Thanks Joan and Selma for another great challenge!

Haunted Mansion
Good Morning Ladies,
My quiet time was short this morning as everyone in the house is up already! Wow I did not see that one coming.
It seems Halloween is right around the corner. So today I have a Haunted Mansion card for you....
I created this card using GCD dsp from their Halloween collection. These are my bottom two layers. I stamped the haunted mansion image from Stamping Sensations on bristol board and colorized it with prisma pencil and gamsol. I mounted this to my card layers. To accent this card I placed spiderweb corners cut from a Cheery Lynn die and little ghosties cut from a Memory Box die. I purchased these dies at http://www.atjoansgardens.com/
This is the inside of the card.

Fairy Ornament Pink and Purple
Good Morning Ladies,
I have been working on several projects never knowing what is coming next. I am trying to prepare for the Christmas season. I know some say not yet, but when you are creating new things for Christmas...well I should be way more than in full swing right now. So today I bring you Fairy Ornament Pink and Purple .
To create this ornament I started with a paper mache' based. I stamped the fairy (company unknown ) on bristol board and colorized her with prisma pencil, gamsol, and spica markers. Her wings are done in stickles. I then cut her out using a spellbinders die set along with a purple glitter layer in the same shape. A pink glitter layer sits underneath this. I created rolled flowers using two different memory box dies in pink and purple glitter card stock. A crystal sprig finishes this side of the ornament off.
This is the reverse side of the ornament. To it I added a pink glitter card stock butterfly cut with a Cheery Lynn die.
This is the side of the ornament finished with diamond dust for added sparkle.

Flock of Sheep
Good Morning Ladies,
A little chilly outside this morning, but I love it! I love fall and sweatshirt weather! It's the slowing down time of the year when we can really relax. We can see the beauty of nature as the trees turn colors right in front of our eyes. The bugs start to go away and walks in the woods are more walking and less swatting.
Today I bring you a card Flock of Sheep .....
The inspiration for this card is of course my Aussie dogs. To create this card I started with the sheep image. I stamped this on bristol board and colorized it with prisma pencil and gamsol. The image is from Stamping Sensations. Once I had this colorized I added the sentiment. The twisting leaves stamp seemed perfect for depth of scene. I makes me feel as though I am looking into a clearing, the sheep unaware. The sentiment and twisting leaves image are from Stampscapes. I layered this panel on black and blue card stock and added the ribbon for a finishing touch.

Winter Wonderland Christmas Pets
Good Afternoon Ladies,
I am in for the day. Trying to heal a pulled muscle or cracked rib. I don't know which, but I know I am in pain and in need of down time. Sitting around is what my husband has ordered. At least I can create and be on the computer. The dogs will have to be quiet today and not jump on me. I have created a card for the Winter Wonderland Christmas Pets challenge.
You can visit the challenge here.... http://christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/christmas-pets.html This one is right up my alley as it requires a cat or a dog. Of course my choice is dog. Here is my entry....
To create this card I started with a base layer of dsp from Martha Stewart. This was a christmas pad in gold tones. I stamped the fireplace image from DSR onto bristol board. It was colorized with prisma pencil, gamsol, and spica pens. This was the first element down. I then added an Australian Shepherd image that was embossed on white card stock and colorized with copic markers. These two images were hand cut. My tree is a flat back doll house embellishment that I purchased at the local auction yesterday. This tree is dusted with glittered flock. I needed to decorate the mantle. I created three rolled roses and cut the Cheery Lynn olive branch die from Graphics 45 christmas collection. My pearl framed mirror is also from the local auction. I snagged quite a few things to use in my creating from the auction. I attended with my sister and we had a great time!
this is a side view to show my popped aussie.
This is the inside of my card.

Gone Fishing
Good Morning Ladies,
I was up way too late last night working on projects. I have not done that in a long time. I think I will not do that for a long time again. LOL
I got up this morning and it is raining again. I thought the rain was suppose to be gone today. I will have wet muddy dogs for sure.
My card for you today is Gone Fishing . And here it is....
I created this card with four images. The boys are one image that I hand cut and made into two. The fishing boys and the pier are from Stamping Sensations. The grass and sun images are from Stampscapes. I used prisma pencil and gamsol to colorize the entire scene. The boys are popped up.
A side view to show the popping of the fishing boys.
Creating male cards can be a challenge, but this card came together easily. My dad is an avid fisherman. Although I didn't take to fishing I have a sister who did. Traditions passed down don't always come in the form of a holiday. I think sometimes we forget this. What traditions do you have?

Joan's Challenge Shaker Boxes
Good Evening Ladies,
It took me a couple of days to catch up from the dog show. So here I am. Last week I had no time to challenges. Today I started and finished a project for Joan's Challenge Shaker Boxes ....
You can see the challenge by clicking this link http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/09/this-weeks-challenge.html
The requirements are....
Create some kind of shaker box
Use red and green colors
Use snowflakes
Use an animal
I decided to use a candy tin for my project....I love giving something a new life...here is my project....
I created my shaker box using a tree die set from Spellbinders. I cut the tree in the largest size using the next size down to create my opening. I used the largest die again to cut the backing tree in red. I used a stamped image of a dog colorized with copic markers inside my shaker box and added diamond dust for the shaking snow. I covered the top of my tin with green cardstock and added a layer of red dsp for the second layer. I used my tree cut out from the center of the shaker box for the second tree. The Merry Christmas die cut worked perfect with this project. My snowflakes are cut from a Spellbinder snowflake set. I added clear rhinestones for the centers.
I covered the sides of the tin with the red snowflake dsp. It was all a little plain so I added red braid around the lid and around the bottom of the tin,.
Here is a close-up of the shaker box.
A great way to give dog treats to that special dog for Christmas.
This was a fun project to create. I had not made a shaker box for a long time.
Thanks for another great challenge Joan and Selma!

Happy Scraps,
