Joans ivory and green challenge

Good Morning Ladies,
So sorry to have missed yesterday. It was a very busy day. Dave and I went to the fair. Ate some fair food from the Door Village building. Beef and Noodles for me. It was yummy! Strolled around and looked at the animals. Watched a little draft horse competition. It was interesting. Watched a little of the livestock auction. Watched some contesting horses. We walked through the commercial buildings.
Then at home we put up the new gates for the dogs. They need a little adjustment today.
I had my card finished for Joans ivory and green challenge but no time to post it. So I am posting it this morning.
Here is a link to the challenge... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/07/this-weeks-challenge_11.html
The challenge requirements are:
Make a four layer card
Use green and cream
Use only a stamped image
Use a sentiment
Only a stamped image....no flowers or embellishments???? How could this be....how will I do this???
Well here is what I came up with....
Only a stamped image....at once I decided a La Blanche stamp from Joan's would be the perfect company to choose from. I stamped this mouse and script image onto La Blanche paper with memento ink. I then grabbed my Tim Holtz distressed inks and picked out antique linen and moss green. I sponged the colors on. Then I went about tearing the piece adding ink to the edges as I went. You can get the distressed ink at http://www.atjoansgardens.com/  For my other three layers I used a basic grey cardstock, swiss dot in ivory and green. I love swiss dot cardstock. It adds just the texture and pop I need for many projects. For my sentiment I just used the merci.
This is a side view of my card. I popped up my mouse panel with pop dots. What can I say I had to do something to just this image card. It just made me feel better! LOL
Thanks again Joan and Selma for another wonderful challenge.
Happy Scraps,
Mrs. Swandog

Great card Lori, love that image, I too thought of so many stamps I love, I have to get back to using all my wonderful stamps, don't use them as much as I used to with all the new dies lately, have to find a happy medium some where and use them more with each other.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
hugs
Donna
