Poinsettia petals

Good Morning Ladies,
Looks like we had more rain overnight. I did not hear it this time. Or I just had a really good nights sleep. I do feel quite rested this morning.
I had fun creating yesterday and here is one of the cards I created....

I created this card using the Poinsettia Petals Pre-Cut set from Heartfelt Creations and a Spellbinders die. I stamped the petals using memento ink on red cardstock and green glitter cardstock. I then cut them out. I created the poinsettia by placing and gluing the petals on top of the spellbinders die cut. This made a great base for this flower. For the center of the flower I sprinkled diamond dust in the center. I colorized the diamond dust with butterscotch alcohol ink. It took just a drop or two. I then glued a jingle bell into the center of the diamond dust. This was all an experiment with the alcohol ink but worked great. I used a Martha Stewart punch to punch the sides of 3 layers of cardstock and dsp. I used red cardstock for the base of the card front. The dsp is from a My Minds Eye christmas stack. To finish this card off I added a green glittery lace.
The Poinsettia Petals set and the spellbinder die can be purchased at http://www.atjoansgardens.com/
She also has an array of the Martha Stewart punches. Let me just say if you want dies check out Joans.
This card was built piece by piece and I had no idea what I was going to come out with...but it is all good.
Happy Scraps,
Mrs. Swandog
