Good Morning Ladies,
Monday morning...what can I say?
I have a challenge entry to post today. Winter Wonderland Elves ...You can see and enter the challenge here.. http://christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/elves.html
The challenge is elves.... Here is my entry....
To create this card I used two different stamp sets. The elf was a Nikki Silvis clear stamp set. I stamped the image on bristol board and colorized him with copic markers. He was then cut out by hand. The sentiments inside and out are from a MSE clear set. They were stamped inside and out on a die cut from a spellbinders die set from Tim Holtz cardstock. The rest of the cardstock is from Nikki Silvis 6 x 6 stack. The die cut behind the elf is ctu from a Cheery Lynn Designs die. I did not make my own flower this time it is a pre-made pop flower.
This is the inside of my card.

Joans Challenge Black and Pink
Good Afternoon Ladies,
Time seems to be getting away from me today.
To much time in the car yesterday I guess. But I did take my Cuttlebug along and cut out flowers and rolled them in the car. Yes, I managed to craft in the car! LOL
My card today is for Joans Challenge Black and Pink
You can see the challenge here and enter yourself if you would like...just click the link to take you there... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/07/this-weeks-challenge_26.html
The elements for this challenge are...
Make a Birthday Card
Pink, Black, and some green
Use leaves
Use patterned paper for the background
I think I have it all covered....here is my card....
My background paper is patterned black with a gold. The viney leaves are cut from a Cheery Lynn die. The leaves under the flowers are cut from a Spellbinders die and then run through an embossing folder to match the background paper. My sprig has black teardrop crystals instead of pearls. My flowers were made using a spellbinders rolled flower die. The pink ones are made out of glitter card stock. The open die is cut from a spellbinders set. I used a different spellbinder set to create the center for my sentiment. Three pearls by the sentiment finish this card off.
A close up of the sentiment.
This is the inside of my card.
Happy Scraps,

Deck our Blog star box
Good Evening Ladies,
I am doing one more go round for the http://tcrschallenge.blogspot.com/2012/07/tccc1-week-3-winners-deck-our-blog-with.html
This is my entry... Deck our Blog star box...
I started with another horse image from http://thirdcoastrs.com/products.htm I stamped the horse image on La Blanche paper with black Memento ink. I then colorized the horse with Copic markers and stickles. The base for this project is a paper mache' star box. The star box was painted with blue metallic acrylic paint. Snowflakes were cut from white glitter paper using a spellbinders die set. The oval was cut using a cheery lynn design die out of white glitter paper. The edge of the box top was decorated with beaded ribbon trim. The inside of the box was sprayed with Pearl ex pearl spray.
A close-up of the wonderful horse from third coast rubber stamps.
A side view to show the ribbon trim.

J2512 Sketch Challenge birthday
Good Morning Ladies,
Up and at it again. We had rain again last night. That is a good thing.
Yesterday I visited with a friend and was able to see her new puppy again before he grows to look like a big dog. He is such a cutie. Learning new things everyday.
Today I am bringing you a card for the J2512 Sketch Challenge birthday over at http://www.thehousethatstampsbuilt.com/sketch-challenges/what-if-wednesday-sketch-challenge-j2512-2/
Here is my card....
My flower border stamp and the watering can stamp are both from Repeat Impressions. These stamps are still from the stamp sheet I won a few weeks back. I'm telling you the bang for your buck is amazing on their sheets of unmounted rubber! I stamped the images on Bristol board and colorized with Copic markers for a change. I added seed beads to create water from the watering can. The flowers have liquid pearls for the centers. A spellbinders set was used to cut the ticket shapes. DSP is the background from my scrap box. I have a very large scrap box with very large pieces in it. The banner shapes were cut from another Spellbinders set. Between the banner pieces are faux rhinestones in blue. I kept to the simple sketch this time for a clean looking card.
This is the inside of my card. You can never have to many birthday cards in stock.
Thanks for another wonderful challenge!

Joans Challenge Butterfly second time
Good Evening Ladies,
I know posting twice in one day. What has happened to me? LOL
I created another card for Joans Challenge Butterfly second time . This is the link http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/07/this-weeks-challenge_19.html
Here is my second card....
To create this card I started with an image from Heartfelt Creations. I stamped the image on Bristol board and colorized it with copic markers. I did this twice and cut the flowers only from the second stamping. I popped this up on top of the main image. Pearls were added for the centers of the flowers. I used a yellow mat for the first layer and a green mat for the second layer. I cut an angel wing out of yellow and layered it with the matching die from Cheery Lynn Designs. I added a rhinestone swirl from K & Company. The butterfly was the final embellishment. It was cut with a Cheery Lynn die in yellow. The dies and stamps can be purchased at Joan's gardens.
This is a side view showing the popped up watering can and flower topper.
This is the inside of my card.
Another great challenge from Joan and Selma!

The Road To A Friends House
Good Morning Ladies,
No challenge card today. Just a Mrs. Swandog card.
This cards sentiment is A Road To A Friends House. Well anyway here is the card....
This card was created using a farm scene stamp. I don't know what company the stamp is by. My friend gave me the image. She had picked it up at a garage sale and ended up with two of the same image. So it was my lucky day. When I stamped it out on Bristol board I was quite pleased. I colorized this scene with Prisma pencil and gamsol. Many colors, lots of blending. What a joy it was to colorize! This scene was placed on three solid layers. I used a rope twine element on the side. I wanted the scene to take center stage on this card. I looked at it for a long time before settling on the sentiment. This card is blank inside for the senders own personal message.
This card brings back memories of the farm and all the fun we had there.

Winter Wonderland Challenge Purple Pink Aqua Green
Good Morning Ladies,
I came home from work and was pretty tired. I thought I would just stay home....but then the offer came up to go to the dog pool in Valpo. I had never been there before and it sounded like some fun. So off Dude and I went. We had a great time!
Today I am entering the Winter Wonderland Challenge Purple Pink Aqua Green. The link is here for the challenge... http://christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/pink-purple-aqua-green.html
The requirement are to create a Christmas card with the colors purple, pink, aqua, and or green. You may use 2 to four of these colors.
This is what I came up with....
The stamped image is by Viva Las Vegas Rubber Stamps. I stamped him on bristol board cut with a spellbinders die set. He was then colorized with copic markers. Snow was added to the bottom of the mitten using beach goop and diamond flower soft. I layer this with another die from the same set. I cut another mitten and stamped my sentiment from CTMH. I cut my snowflake with a different spellbinders set. The second mitten and snowflake has snow added the same as the focal mitten. I used a K&Company rhinestone flourish and flocked snowflake ribbon to top this card off.
This is the inside of my card.

New Puppy Dog Congrats Card
Good Morning Ladies,
I did not post yesterday because dog life got in the way. Sorry
I am post the card I was to post yesterday.
This New Puppy Dog Congrats Card is for that person that has just received a new puppy or older dog. A nice toy would make the perfect gift. Maybe it's only us dog people who recognize a new canine family member. I'm not sure on that one.
Here is the card....

Joans Challenge Yellow and Green
Good Morning Ladies,
I'm off to a stamping event this morning. Can't wait for a good time and building memories.
I had to stop in to share my Joans Challenge Yellow and Green card. Here is the link to the challenge... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/07/this-weeks-challenge_19.html
The challenge requirements are...
Make a butterfly card
Use Yellow and Green
Use something from nature
At least three layers
Here is my card...
To create this card I started with K&Company flower embossed card stock for the top of my card base. (layer one) I wrapped green striped sew easy thread around the floral card stock three times. My focal panel is dark green card stock (layer two) and dandiloin card stock cut from the cathedral die from Cheery Lynn (layer three). I then added a branch cut from a memory box die. To this I added prima flowers with pearls for centers ( something from nature). The die cut at the top of the card is cut from a spellbinders die set and has the words "with sympathy" stamped on it. My butterfly tops this card off. It was created by cutting the angel wing from embossed vellum from the same collection as the floral paper. My butterfly outline is cut using a Cheery Lynn medium butterfly from yellow pearlized card stock. I added pearls to her wings. I bent her wings and attached her just in the center body.
Showing the lift and vellum of the butterfly.
This is the inside of my card.
All dies can be purchased at http://www.atjoansgardens.com/ When I purchased the branch die my thought was a bird perched on it with leaves added. This challenge took my branch a step forward and now I have all kinds of branch ideas. Thanks for the wonderful challenge Joan and Selma.

Deck The Halls With Boughs of Holly card 2
Good Morning Ladies,
It seems much cooler out this morning. Looks like it could rain. That is all good news.
Tomorrow I am off to a stamping adventure at New Carlisle library. It will be good times with good friends.
Yesterday I created another card so that I could play again at Third Coast challenges.
You can see the challenge by clicking on this link.... http://tcrschallenge.blogspot.com/2012/07/tccc1-week-2s-winners-plus-surprise.html
I have grabbed their button and it is at the top of the sidebar here on the blog. You can click and go.
Here is my card....
I started this card creation with the polar bear image from Third Coast Rubber Stamps. I stamped him three times on bristol board and colorized each layer with Prisma pencil and Gamsol. I sectioned off the body in two places and built these up on the complete image to give this card a 3-D effect. The layers are seperated by pop dot material. I cut a layer of brisol board with a spellbinder die set. On this layer I stamped an ice flow. I colorized it the same as the polar bear. In the upper left hand corner I stamped the word peace. The ploar bear is popped up on this die cut. Another spellbinder layer was added to this panel. My next two lower layers are grey card stock, and deep blue glitter card stock. Snowflakes cut with a spelbinder set surround the polar bear scene. The snowflakes have pearls for centers.
A view to show the popped up bear.
This is the inside of my card.
Third Coasts polar bear set is wonderful and comes in two sizes. Of course I have them both. Another fun challenge! Thanks Third Coast.

DCC718 Outdoors or Wildlife Challenge
Good Morning Ladies,
Rain beautiful rain. That is what we have had through the night and it's still raining this morning. Of course there is a little thunder and lightning with it. But it's all good.
Today I am playing along over at The House That Stamps Built blog challenge. The challenge is to create a outdoors or wildlife scene card. Wildlife and scene was perfect for me. You can see the challenge by clicking on this link.... http://www.thehousethatstampsbuilt.com/designers-choice-challenge/dcc718-outdoors-or-wildlife-challenge/
Here is my card....
To create this card I stamped the blue heron stamp from Repeat Impressions on Bristol board. I then added the water image stamped several times using a paper towel mask. I added the hot sun image. All of these images including the background are colorized using Prisma pencil, Prisma stix, and gamsol. The prisma stix are great for colorizing your backgrounds. They cover a large area fast. My next step was to add the twisting leaves and the cat tails. This panel was layered on a black mat and a grey mat and then adhered to a black card base.
This is the inside of my card.
A fun challenge using a great image from ... http://www.repeatimpressions.com/

"TCCC#1 Deck our Blog with Boughs of Holly"
Good Morning Ladies,
Happy Tuesday! A new challenge blog has appeared on the scene. Third Coast Rubber Stamps on of my favorite stamp companies is has the new challenge blog! You can see the challenge and enter by clicking on this link... http://tcrschallenge.blogspot.com/2012/07/tccc1-week-2s-winners-plus-surprise.html
This is the "TCCC#1 Deck our Blog with Boughs of Holly" theme for the challenge.
So here is my Third Coast Christmas card.
To create this card I used a Third Coast Christmas horse image. I stamped it on La Blanche paper. The horse and background were colorized using Tim Holtz distressed ink pads. At the bottom of the scene I used polar white flower soft for snow. I know it is very hard to see in the photo. The horse panel was placed on top of two mats. The base mat is red mirror card and the next mat is green glitter card stock. The poinsettia was created using a marriane die. The holly vines were cut using a Cheery Lynn die.
The horse stamps are divine over at Third Coast along with the thousands of other rubber images.

Mouse Princess Birthday
Good Afternoon Ladies,
I know posting at a weird time in the afternoon. You never can tell what I'm gonna do these days. Heck I don't know what I am going to do these days. LOL
Well here my card is.... Mouse Princess Birthday....
For this card I selected a set of Clear Dollar Stamps. I stamped the princess rose carriage on bristol board and colorized it with Prisma pencil and Gamsol. I added pearls to the vine wheel covers. My princess is stamped and colorized the same as the carriage. I used a spellbinder banner set to put my sentiment on. The sentiments are from Inkadinkado. My layers are starting with the bottom one....dark purple swiss dot, lime green glitter card stock, and purple glitter card stock. The top layer was punched with a martha stewart border punch. I decided to add pearls to the punched edge in the center of the flowers. To top this card off I placed a double layer prima flower with a pearl for the center at the top of the card.
This is the inside of my card.
I am adding more birthday cards to my booth up at the co-op shops. Along with most of the cards you see on my blog. Stop by and soak up the cool air while you browse.

Christmas Blog Sentiment as a Focal Point
Good Morning Ladies,
I was good to get rain yesterday! This morning it looks like it rained while I was sleeping. That is so good. The earth around here needs a good soaking. It felt so good to have rain I was not dodging drops but strolling through the rain. I never thought rain would make me so happy.
I am trying out a new challenge blog today. It is a christmas blog. You can visit it here.... http://christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/sentiment-as-focal-point.html
Every challenge is a Christmas challenge. What a great way to get Christmas cards ready year round. This weeks challenge is Christmas Blog Sentiment as a Focal Point
Here is what I created....
To create this card I started with a Merry Christmas sentiment from Viva Las Vegas stamps. I stamped this on blue mirror card in versa mark. I then used silver embossing powder and my heat gun to emboss it. Mirror card embosses well. The sentiment was cut using a spellbinders die set as well as the layer underneath. The snowflake is dsp and the dark blue under my focal point is a textured type of paper/fabric. Very rich looking. Three polar bear images from third coast designs were added to the top of the sentiment panel. To further embellish this card I added holly flourish die cuts that were cut from a Cheery Lynn die. A pearl sprig and rolled flower top this card off.
Here is a close-up of my sentiment and bears.
This was a fun challenge!

Joans ivory and green challenge
Good Morning Ladies,
So sorry to have missed yesterday. It was a very busy day. Dave and I went to the fair. Ate some fair food from the Door Village building. Beef and Noodles for me. It was yummy! Strolled around and looked at the animals. Watched a little draft horse competition. It was interesting. Watched a little of the livestock auction. Watched some contesting horses. We walked through the commercial buildings.
Then at home we put up the new gates for the dogs. They need a little adjustment today.
I had my card finished for Joans ivory and green challenge but no time to post it. So I am posting it this morning.
Here is a link to the challenge... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/07/this-weeks-challenge_11.html
The challenge requirements are:
Make a four layer card
Use green and cream
Use only a stamped image
Use a sentiment
Only a stamped image....no flowers or embellishments???? How could this be....how will I do this???
Well here is what I came up with....
Only a stamped image....at once I decided a La Blanche stamp from Joan's would be the perfect company to choose from. I stamped this mouse and script image onto La Blanche paper with memento ink. I then grabbed my Tim Holtz distressed inks and picked out antique linen and moss green. I sponged the colors on. Then I went about tearing the piece adding ink to the edges as I went. You can get the distressed ink at http://www.atjoansgardens.com/ For my other three layers I used a basic grey cardstock, swiss dot in ivory and green. I love swiss dot cardstock. It adds just the texture and pop I need for many projects. For my sentiment I just used the merci.
This is a side view of my card. I popped up my mouse panel with pop dots. What can I say I had to do something to just this image card. It just made me feel better! LOL
Thanks again Joan and Selma for another wonderful challenge.

What If Wednesday ~ sketch challenge J1112
Good Morning Ladies,
All is well. I created another card for that challenge over at the house that stamps built. It is What If Wednesday ~ sketch challenge J1112 . You can see the sketch and challenge by clicking on this link.. http://www.thehousethatstampsbuilt.com/sketch-challenges/what-if-wednesday-sketch-challenge-j1112-2/
My second attempt is much better. The first on is going into the round file.
He is my card....
The answer to this challenge was to go simple and stay with the sketch. To create this card I started by stamping the swan on bristol board and colorizing him with Prisma pencil and Gamsol. I then hand cut him out. He is an image by repeat impressions. You can buy him here on-line, click on the link... http://www.repeatimpressions.com/birds.html When I think of swans I tend to think white, but for some reason I thought of the movie Black Swan. So he is black. I cut two dies with a spellbinder set to place him on. The circles are both pop dotted. Once this piece was created I dove into the rest of the card.
To show the pop dotting.
This is the inside of my card.

Epic Fail Card
Good Evening Ladies,
I am posting a card tonight that I made for a challenge. I thought it was ok this morning. But now that I look at it in the light of day I have discovered it is an Epic Fail Card .
I thought I would post it anyway, because life is just like that ....sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. The fail on this card is the background paper I chose. So it will be back to the drawing board to come up with something suitable.
Here it is....
My circle with the heart flower pot I like. So that I will remake and use a better selection of background paper.

Mr. & Mrs. wedding card
Good Morning Ladies,
It is Monday morning again. I had a nice relaxing weekend. Creating and dog were involved so I am a happy camper.
Here is the card I have created for you today.... Mr. & Mrs. wedding card ....
To create this card I started with the swan image from Repeat Impressions. I stamped this image on bristol board. It was then colorized with Prisma pencil and Gamsol. The sentiment above the swans is a clear stamp from Doodle Bug. This was cut with a spellbinder die set. The pink lace at the bottom of the card started out as white lace. I took the white lace and colorized it with Tim Holtz spun sugar stain. The blue paper is shimmer paper. This was cut with a Cheery Lynn daisy die and a Martha Stewart deco punch around the page set. The pink card stock is textured. To top this card off I used a stacker flower cut from a Cheery Lynn die and stacked two prima flowers on top with a brad for the center.
This is the inside of the card using the same Doodle Bug clear set.

Winne the Pooh One Hundred
Good Morning Ladies,
It looks like rain right now. We are hoping it comes down in buckets. It is so needed.
A few hours ago I posted my Joans challenge card and now I am back to post a Winne the Pooh One Hundred card.
Here it is....
A fairly simple card but one that conveys a message to a son. The winnie the pooh stamp I used did not have a company on it. I stamped the image on bristol board and colorized it with prisma pencil and gamsol. I used my sew easy tool and thread on the yellow glitter mat. This is fun to do. The embossed piece down the middle is a piece I created with my friends gelotos. This was a test piece from yesterday that came in handy today.
This is the sentiment on the inside of the card. I must admit this card was created around this sentiment. It is one I love but really had not had a stamp to go with it. I purchased the pooh stamp set at the garage sale at Cafe' Crop. I'm telling you I purchased some really nice stamp sets there.

Joan's Challenge Selma's Rose Technique
Good Evening Ladies,
Yes ... it is really late. Today I created my card for Joan's Challenge Selma's Rose Technique and my friend and mom came over and we played some with gelatos and spray lace with different things. You know we just crafty craft played around. The weather is cooler so the dogs went for a walk too.
The challenge over at Joan's requires...
Create a card very similar to Selmas
Use an embossed background
Use a lace border
Use Selma's tutorial to create flowers
Use pink and White
You can see the challenge and Selma's wonderful card...just click on this link... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/07/this-weeks-challenge.html
Now here is the card I created.....
These are the supplies I used to create this card. Check Joan's site to order many wonderful products. Martha Stewart Embroidery border punch, Cuttlebug Fleur De Lis embossing folder, Cheery Lynn Designs Polynesian Sails Oval die, Poppy Stamps Meadow Leaf die, Cheery Lynn Stacker flower #6, Spellbinders Spiral Blossom One, pearls, and pearl sprigs. I did not have the smaller spiral flower spellbinder die so I replaced the small flowers with a flower I created using flower #6. I cut petals apart and rolled them, gathered them and such. To tell the truth I don't remember how I created it. Oh yes I used Tim Holtz spun sugar distressed stain in the bottle instead of the stamp pad version. I don't know why because I do have that ink pad.
A close-up of my flowers.
This challenge really challenged me. I did muddle through though.
Thanks again Joan and Selma for pushing me to another level.

DCC74 ~ Color Challenge
Good Evening Ladies,
I guess it's a crap shoot on when I will post on the blog. My day job has been busy so I am catch as catch can.
Tonight I bring you DCC74 ~ Color Challenge
This is a challenge over at the house that stamps built... you can find it at this link... http://www.thehousethatstampsbuilt.com/designers-choice-challenge/dcc74-color-challenge/
The challenge is to create a purple and green card.... Here is my card...
To create this card I started with my focal point. This daisy flower fairy is by Repeat Impressions. I stamped the image on bristol board. I colorized it using Prisma pencil, gamsol, and spica pens. I hand cut the image. I started layering purple and green glitter card stock. Square layers first. Then spellbinder layers, including a dark purple swiss dot card stock. The corner die-cuts were created using a cheery lynn corner die. To three of the corners I added pearls. On my third corner I added a spiral flower created with a memory box die. I took a long leaf pin and stuck it all the way through the flower. I clipped off the long end that stuck through. Underneath the flower I added a pearl sprig.
This is the inside of the card. The outside of the card seemed fitting for a new baby.

Summer Boy Birthday Hug
Good Morning Ladies,
It looks to be another hot one. So hard to do anything with the dogs. So I am creating again today. What else can a girl do?
My card for today is.... Summer Boy Birthday Hug
I recently went to the Garage Sale at Cafe' Crop and man did I get the stamp buys. Most of them look like they were never used. Go figure! This card is made with some of those stamps.
For this card I stamped the wave stamp several times on a square of Bristol board. I then used my radiant rain to colorized it. I also stamped three times with the waves using the same method and hand cut them out. My boy floating in the inner tube was stamped on Bristol board and colorized with Prisma Pencil and Gamsol. He was hand cut and popped up on the background using pop dots. The extra waves were popped up on top of this. I used a spellbinder die to cut a partial sun and stamped it with a happy birthday clear stamp. Two layers underneath the scene creates more color. To top this card off I added a brass star fish.
This is the inside of my card. The sentiment is from Inky Antics.
My cards are for sale at the Co-Op shops on State Street in La Porte, IN. Stop on in and take some time to browse. We have air, perfect for this extremely hot day.

Joan's Challenge Red, White, and Blue
Good Morning Ladies,
I am home today. I seemed to pick up a flu bug at the dog show this weekend. I have come to that conclusion, because my friend who was there with me is sick also today.
I started a card for Joan's Challenge Red, White, and Blue before I left for the show. I finished it now.
Here are the guide lines we needed to follow when creating our card...
Celebration Card
The colors red, white, and blue
Use stripes
Add a tag
You can see and join the challenge here... http://www.atjoansgardens.com/2012/06/this-weeks-challenge_28.html
Here is my entry....
To create this card I used dsp for the background layers in stripes and stars. Then I took my bristol board, stamps, prisma pencils, gamsol, and stickles to create the pieces to my card. I added glitter around the edges of my flag piece and my tag using liner tape. I tied sewing string onto my tag. The tag was cut using a spellbinders die set.
As I looked at my finished die it hit me. I should have ordered the flip flop border die from Joan. I thought it was a cute die but wondered what I would use it for. Wellllllllllll...now I know. So go over to Joan's and check out the flip flop die.
Thanks for another great challenge Selma and Joan!
