Happy Friday!

Good Afternoon Ladies,
I am happy to report I went to a stamp store in North Liberty, IN today. The shop's name is Joan's Gardens. It is a small shop but packed with cool stamps and goodies. The owner is a very nice gal. She carries the Heartfelt Creations stamps and dies. Lots of them. My mom and I took to the road on a whim. It was very worth the trip. We both came home with a bag full. Nice short road trip where were back by 12 and went to the family bar to have the lunch special.

Here is a card created with a Heartfelt Creations stamp set....of course this is not a set I bought this morning. This is another set Judy brought over last weekend. I'm totally hooked!
But....I will be playing tonight....you can be assured of that.
Oh and she carries memento reinkers....I'm lovin it...
Friday nights are pizza nights....so no cooking tonight! Happy me.
Well....off to play...

Spring Bird Nest

Good Morning Ladies,
There is snow on the ground again this morning. At least the days are getting longer and snow will not stay long.
I have an exciting day of laundry ahead of me. I also have the looming job of cleaning out my closet. It is way over packed and I know somethings have not seen the light of day for ages. Something things have got to go!
I am bringing you a spring card today....
This card is created  using memento ink, prisma color pencils, gamsol, stamped images, african handmade paper, stiff felt, feathers, and jute. Blank on the inside. This card is for sale in my artfire store.
Do you prefer blank cards to write your own message or do like cards with sentiments already inside? Most of the time I make my cards blank on the inside. That way when I have a card need I can pick the card design that suits the person the most and write my personal message inside.
Well....off to wake Sam for school...

Six flowers

Good Morning Ladies,
It is raining out this morning. I guess that's a good sign. Much better than snow.
I got together with family this weekend and did some stamping. What great fun! Judy brought her Heartfelt Creations stamps and dies. These are just the coolest things. Now I am going to have to order some. The prettiest flower you ever did see.
I want to share with you the flowers I made that Melody snagged from me while she was over here....
I made these using the Tim Holtz rosette die. I can't wait to see how Melody uses these in a project. I will try to get a photo when she is done.
What has Melody been up to??? Scrapbooking, cooking at the family bar, and taking care of her grandkids. She is home cooking the most tasty food for lunch at the family bar. Her corn beef and cabbage was amazing on St. Patty's day. If you are the local girls stop in for lunch. They have redone the bar and now have nice booths to sit in and the place is really bright now.

Spring is on it's way!

Good Morning Ladies,
I think spring is on it's way. I'm so happy!
Sam's computer is having some issues. So we are sharing my computer. I seem to have use of it in the morning and he takes over in the afternoon through the evening. my time is shorter so I seem to get much less done.

Here is a new card and envelope ...I created this set with a new stamp set I bought recently. The stamp set is  a Tricia Santry Studio clear set. Fun to work with and I thought very springy. The stamping was done with black momento ink and I colorized the images with prisma color pencils and gamsol. To create the envelop I put a layering swatch on the inside so that I would not have bleed through. It worked like a charm. Mail art just add the extra touch to someones's mail box.
Well....Off to get Sam up for school...

snow again

Good Morning Ladies,
I wake up this morning and snow is covering my backyard again. Ugh....I'm so tired of seeing the white stuff.

I thought I would bring you a snowflake card.....
You know I didn't want to do it....but here it is. This card features grunge paper and radiant rain daubbers. I stamped a snow horse image from Third Coast Rubber Stamps and two flower images from Outlines Stamps. I then cut out the horse and flower parts. I covered them with the radiant rain daubers. I gave the horse with a light misting of tattered angels spray. I added a rhinestone to the flower as well as stickles. The background is embossed with a snowflake embossing folder and rubbed with Distressed ink. This sits on top of a craft greeting card.

Happy Bird-day

Good Morning Ladies,
I got up this morning to rain. So it must be warm enough not to be snowing. That's a good sign that spring is on it's way.

Here is a card to share with you today...

This card was created using stamped images from Lindy's Stamp Gang. The bird is colorized with copic markers. Feathers and a prima flower seemed to suit this card. This stamp set offers several birds and saying. They come on an unmounted sheet. You get a lot of bang for your buck with lindy's stamps.

At this time I am not finding enough hours in a day to get everything done I want to get done. Maybe because I just want to have too much fun.

Well off to get Sam up for school....

Pan Pastels Southwest

Good Morning Ladies,
Snow is still on the ground....enough already mother nature...Please show us spring....
I did see some robins on my hike around the field yesterday with Windy and my friend. That was a good sight to see. Now I just have to wait for my little robin that always builds a nest in the tree in front of my kitchen window. Every year she has babies there. It is cool to see them fly out of the nest each year. Nature is so amazing!

I thought I would bring you a new creation today...
This is a Pan Pastel Southwest greeting card. This card was created using the pan pastel chalks. The chalks were laid down with a sponge. I then stamped the hot  sun by Stampscapes. Next I stamped the mesa by Third Coast Rubber Stamps. In the very front I stamped a horse by an unknown source. The horse is unmounted rubber so no company stamp. This was created on matte paper.

My friend Judy introduced me to the pan pastels. A very cool product that makes chalking seem effortless. Thanks Judy!

I continue to fill my artfire store. Click on the artfire button on the right and this will take you to my store. I do have some supplies in the store also. Right now there is some QuiKutz.

Well...off to my day job..

One year older

Good Morning Ladies,
Yesterday was my birthday. I had a great time. Went out to lunch with my mom, sister, and son. Then I went out to dinner with my friend and her son. I never knew that eating was a part of birthdays.
My mom and my sister are talented creative people too....
This is the card from my mom....a card  with a dog ...perfect for me!
This card is from my sister.... I love fairies...another perfect card for my birthday.
I went to dog obedience yesterday and stopped at Jo Anns before coming home. A fun birthday.
For today it's back to a regular artful day.

Look Deep Into Naure

Good Morning Ladies,
I bring you another nature card today....

This was a fun card to make. More inspiration from nature. I stamped the owl image with black memento ink. I then colorized him with color pencil and Gamsol. I stamped the leafy side ground. Stamp by stampscapes. I inked the edges brown. This scene is stamped on bristol board. I layered brown cardstock on the bottom of the card. The upper portion of the card is layered with green cardstock with a stamped nature quote. " Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better. " Albert Einstein Surrounding the quote is the same leafy stamp. I topped this card off with a piece of jute from Africa. I am loving Bristol board for color pencil and Gamsol. It's smoothness seems to work perfect. Bristol board can be bought in the art department of your local craft store.
