Good Morning Ladies,
It is off to my day job this morning and then off to train dogs with a friend. I can't wait!
The card for today is Gel Press Dive Into Your Dreams
More fun with the Gel Press. Bristol paper was used to create the Gel Press background. Diane Wakely paint was used. It seems to be a heavier paint and at first I thought it was over applied. But I love the texture it came out with. The bottom border and leaves at the top are images from Dylusions. They were stamped with archival ink and highlighted with white gel pen. The unicorn image is from Cracker Box Palace. He was stamped on watercolor paper and accented with gold metallic pen and stickles. The sentiment Dive Into Your Dreams is a Technique Tuesday stamp.

Viva Las Vegas Stamps Inspire Challenge
Good Morning Ladies,
I have decided to give one more shot at the Viva Las Vegas Stamps Inspire Challenge this month. The teal and green colors are fabulous to work with.
You still have time to enter the challenge here... http://vivalas.blogspot.com/2016/06/june-challenge.html
Here is my card.
The background was created using the smoosh technique. You take two pieces of watercolor paper the same size. You spray each one with sprays. I used the Dylusion ink sprays. You flip one piece on top of the other and rub the back with your hand. Pull them apart and you get two backgrounds to work with. The images and the sentiment are Viva Las Vegas Stamps. A white gel pen was used under the kids feet and around the sentiment to accent it.

You Are Braver Heart Magnet
Good Morning Ladies,
We are suppose to have a break in the heat today. That will be nice. The humidity has been terrible. But hey it's summer so I am happy.
The project for today is You Are Braver Heart Magnet
This heart started as a plain chipboard heart. It was sprayed with a teal Dylusions ink spray. It was then sprayed with a gold Tattered Angels spray. The images were stamped with Archival ink. The girl, dog, and grassy knoll images are from Crafty Secrets. The leaves and sentiment images are from Dylusions. The leaves and sentiment are accented with white gel pen. On the back of the heart are three magnets. This is a project I created for the Art Abandonment program. It will be abandoned in a few days.

Sheena Douglass Little Red Tag
Good Morning Ladies,
The weekend flew by. I had some fun and I had some relaxation. Summer is grand.
The project for today is Sheena Douglass Little Red Tag
This tag is a large shipping tag. It was sprayed with ink stains and a Tattered Angels gold spray. The twisted tree from Sheena Douglass was stamped on top of the ink spray. Little Red from Sheena Douglass was stamped on watercolor paper and colorized with watercolors. She was then hand cut and added on top of the tag. I love this Little Red image. A white gel pen was used to create the stars. A black and gold ribbon tops this tag off.

Viva Las Vegas Stamps Inspiration June 2016
Good Morning Ladies,
I was off to the dog show for a week. It then took me another week to play catch up with everything. I am now back.
The card for today is Viva Las Vegas Stamps Inspiration June 2016
This is the link to this challenge http://vivalas.blogspot.com/2016/06/june-challenge.html
It is an inspiration board.
This is my card
I wasn't sure what I would do for this challenge. So I grabbed a couple of my grab bags from http://www.vlvstamps.com/ and a piece of glossy card stock. Stipple brushes and dye ink were used to create the background. The round circle stamp went well with the Krispy Kreme Doughnut stamp. I love Krispy Kreme doughnuts! The dancing guy looked like me when I get to have Krispy Kreme Doughnuts hot off the line. Black card stock was used to cover the base of the card.

Long Sits and Downs Dog Obedience
Good Morning Ladies,
Tomorrow I leave for the Premier dog show. I will be away for six days.
The card for today is Long Sits and Downs Dog Obedience
I am having more fun with the Stamps of Life friends4cookie set. The background was created using the Gel Press. It had a small amount of paint left on it. I placed a piece of bristol paper down on it to pick up the rest of the paint. I then took the stencil I had used and placed it down on it. It took off the excess orange paint. It was still not what I wanted so I spritzed with a purple spray. That's one of the things I like about the Gel Press you can continue to take it to another level. I wanted to try something different for the dog images. I sprayed a piece of bristol paper with 3 different colors of sprays and let it dry. I then stamped and die cut the dogs out of it. The sentiments were written by hand with a white gel ink pen.

Sheena Douglass Kite Flying
Good Morning Ladies,
I am off to the dog show this morning. It's gonna be a hot one but hopefully the building will be much cooler.
The card for today is Sheena Douglass Kite Flying
This card was created using the smoosh technique for the background. The flower and kite images are from Sheena Douglass. I wasn't sure if I could watercolor over the sprays that created the background. I thought I would give it a shot anyway. I am happy to say you can watercolor over the spray background. So the kites are colorized using watercolors. Very thin twine was used to create the kite strings.

Hug Your Dog
Good Morning Ladies,
We had a storm night before last. At about 4:30 the power went out. So no power, no internet, no blog. So that is what happened to me.
The card for today is Hug Your Dog
Once again the background was created using the smoosh method. It is watercolor paper and dylusion ink sprays. The dog and sentiment are from the Stamps of Life friends4cookie. I am loving this stamp set and dies. The dog was colorized like a dalmation. The flower is a cream Prima flower that was sprayed with the sprays to match the background. The dsp that covers the card is from my stash.

Sheena Douglass Run Down
Good Morning Ladies,
I ran to the grocery yesterday. Today is my normal day to go so I will have a little extra time on my hands today. What will I do with it? Well create of course.
The card for today is Sheena Douglass Run Down
This is a simple card but I like the way it turned out. I took the run down house from Sheena Douglass and stamped it on watercolor paper. It was then colorized with watercolors. The house was then hand cut. I applied it to the green card. The sentiment is from the same set.
The inside sentiment is also from the same set.

Gel Press Miss A Moment Of Magic
Good Morning Ladies,
The weather has cooled down a bit but is suppose to be steaming hot this weekend. Either way it is still weather you can do something in.
The card for today is Gel Press Miss A Moment Of Magic
Once again I am loving my Gel Press and created a background for this card with it. This time around I used the Diane Wakley paints. They are a bit thicker and left more texture. I was not sure about the colors I used but I am happy with the results. I used an orange, a yellow and a purple. A comb was used here. The Diane Wakley female image was stamped in Archival black ink directly on to the Gel Plate background as well as the sentiment. The sentiment is from Dylusions. The larger flower layers were cream Prima flowers. They were sprayed with Dylusions ink sprays as well as Tattered Angels sprays. A white Signo gel pen was used to trace around the gal and the sentiment.

Glossy Card Stock Background
Good Morning Ladies,
Next week on this day I will be off to the premier dog show. It is my vacation every year and I am so looking forward to it.
The card for today is Glossy Card Stock Background
This background technique is something that is not new but I had not seen it before. So I had to try it out. You take a glossy piece of card stock and stamp it with a background stamp using Versa Mark ink. I used a Just Rite Stamp background. You let the Versa Mark dry. I left it to dry overnight. You then take dye ink and sponge it over the top. The Versa Mark resists the ink. Your images are then stamped on top of the background. The sentiment is from Tim Holtz. The butterfly and bird bath are from Inkadinkado.

Graphics 45 Lucky Dog Altered Tambourine
Good Morning Ladies,
I have been enjoying the nice weather and life is good!
The project for today is Graphics 45 Lucky Dog Altered Tambourine
I was looking for frames and I came across a tambourine that I purchased quiet some time ago to alter. There was a challenge or project in a Stampington magazine where they altered tambourines. So I purchased one and never got around to doing it. Well now it is done.
The Graphics 45 It's Raining Cats and Dogs 8X8 tablet was used as the theme for this tambourine. A circle of the card stock was cut and glued to the top of the tambourine. Next two calling cards from the tablet were added. The heart is chipboard that was sprayed with Tattered Angels spray and a metal dog pawprint charm was added. The small flowers are from Prima and pearls were added for the centers. The larger flowers were created using the daisy dies from Fun Stampers Journey. The edges of the circle was sponged with Fun Stampers Journey brown hybrid ink. The red ribbon was already on the tambourine and looked good with the card stock. So I just added teal blue fibers to them. The small stamps from the pad were added to the ribbon and fibers. They were put on two back to back.

A close-up of the small floral group and one of the calling cards.
A view to show the tambourine. It is a childs toy tambourine.

Gel Press Who You Think
Good Morning Ladies,
I have been MIA every since the dog show. So much was going on and I was trying to bounce back from the show.

I did play with my Gel Press and that is how the background for this card was created. A comb and a pop cap were used to create the designs. The lady image is from Diane Wakley and was stamped in black archival ink. The sentiment is from Tim Holtz. The flowers are Prima that were sprayed with dylusions ink sprays and tattered angels spray.
