Challenge #3: Mixed Media Art

Good Morning Ladies,
The challenge over at Stampin' Dymonz this week is credit card painting. Click this link to go check out the challenge...  http://www.stampindymonz.com/2011/06/challenge-3-mixed-media-art.html
This is the challenge
For our challenge this week, we will be making a decorative background paper. Hint: You will need this background for next week's challenge, so make sure you don't do anything further to the page then what you are directed to do in this post.
  1. Select an 8.5 x 11 sheet of decorative or plain paper which you want to turn into your background paper.
  2. Select 3 different colored paints and 1 metallic or glitter paint.
  3. Use the paper you chose and the 4 ink colors to create a background page using the Credit Card Painting Technique for you to use as your base for next week's challenge.
  4. I gave it a whirl is this is what I came up with...
I have never done credit card painting before. I took a sheet of designer series scrapbook paper that was printed with a vintage travel type design. I was hoping some of the original paper would show through but alas it did not. The colors of acrylic paint I use was first white, second navy blue, third red, and last silver metallic. Now I have no idea where this project is going yet but I was thinking colors for the fourth of July. Now this may turn out to be something totally different. The surprise of this challenge I found very interesting and I am always up for a surprise. Can't wait until next weeks challenge to see what's up!
Happy Scraps,
Mrs. Swandog

Good job on learning the technique. Thats a shame that parts of the printed paper didnt come thru.
