Good Morning Ladies,
I'm sorry I have been MIA, but I was away at a dog show. Then upon return I was getting ready for Sam's graduation party this past Sunday. Now that is all over with I'm back. And then off again this Friday for another dog show. Summer sure is busy.
The latest challenge over at Stampin' Dymonz is drop shadow stamping. The requirements this week is to create a card using the Drop Shadow Stamping technique and at least one other stamping technique of your choice. Your card must have ribbon, 3 flowers, "gems" (of any type -- I used Pebbles in the flower centers) and at least 2 distinctly different papers/cardstocks. The theme for the card is "Sympathy" (i.e., my "thinking of you" stamp).
Check it out here http://www.stampindymonz.com/2011/06/challenge-6-drop-shadow-stamping.html
Here is the card I created for the challenge....
For my drop shadow stamping I used a solid flower stamp from an unknown company. I stamped the first layer in anirondack ink in cloudy blue. I then overstamped in anirondack ink sail boat blue. I stamped the shadow stamping on parchment cardstock. I then cut two smaller pieces of the parchment cardstock. On these two pieces I stamped an image and a saying from the clear dollar stamp set pet sympathy. I edged these with the the cloudy blue ink. This was all mounted on a floral cardstock from K&Company. I added the heart ribbon with tacky tape. My flowers are from prima to which I added irridescent rhinestones from queen and company.
This was a fun technique to create with, that I will use in the future. I will say Stampin' Dymonz is very inspiring! I am stepping out of the box more and more because of these challenges.
Well...off to bed...
Happy Scraps,
Mrs. Swandog

Love it! This technique is so great; your backing paper could be store-bought it's so nice. I love Stampin' Dymonz too!
Mrs.Swandog, this is marvelous. Your colors are beautiful and the card is just brilliant. Thanks for joining us this week at Stampin' Dymonz Scrap shack. :~)
You did a great job on the drop shadowing. I like the different blues also.
Simply adorable! The dog stamp is too cute! Your color choices are making my eyes light up. Great job! Thanks for participating in another challenge at the Stampin' Dymonz Creative Space!
P.S.: I'm glad you are enjoying the challenges on my blog! I'm having fun learning new stuff so I can turn around and challenge everyone else who will listen to do the same. What better way than for all of us to step out of our boxes and move forward with our creative abilities? Love having you participate each week!
