Gel Press and Viva Las Vegas Stamps Gone Batty

Good Morning Ladies,
The dogs are all full of fun and games this morning. Running in and out...playing together. Such joy comes from a cat squeaky mouse. It will be lost again soon not to be found until another day.
The card for today is Gel Press and Viva Las Vegas Stamps Gone Batty
The Gel Press is involved again! The background was created using the Gel Press for a final pull. There was not much paint left on it, so I sprayed it with ink dye spray and took one last pull. It looked to be a great Halloween sky. The spooky tree line from Viva Las Vegas Stamps was the perfect image to put with this background. It was stamped in Archival ink.The moon was created using acrylic paint in two colors and the Tim Holtz round tool. The bats are wood and painted with black paint. The bats are from my stash.
The inside sentiment is from Martha Stewart.

Gel Press Giraffe Framed

Good Morning Ladies,
The past two days have been beautiful here. All that rains means that the sun seems to shine brighter and the green things look greener.
The project for today is Gel Press Giraffe Framed
Yes, I am having fun with the Gel Press again. I can't get enough of it! This Gel Press background was created using two colors of the Dylusions paints and one color of the apple barrel paint. The Tim Holtz round sponge tool and two colors of paint were used to create the sun. Stampscapes stamps were used to create the leaves and ground cover. The giraffe I'm not sure of the company. It was in my old stash of images. Back in the day I heat embossed everything. So I have a stock pile of images that were hand cut using heat embossing.
A close-up of the scene.

Sheena Douglass Dragon Gel Press

Good Morning Ladies,
Another trip up to Michigan last night. This time my better half went with me. It was his first time to eat at Panera. There is a Five Guys around the corner from there. He wanted to go there but we went with our original plan. Needless to say as soon as we got back in the truck he said he will never eat there again. Just what I expected.

Vintage German Cut Wedding Card

Good Morning Ladies,
The rain continues this morning. We have had a lot of rain. The earth needed a drink, maybe just not this big of one.
The card for today is Vintage German Cut Wedding Card
This card started with the Vintage German Embossed Cut. This is a larger cut so a 6 X 6 card base was used. The background is embossed with a Sue Wilson embossing folder. This is my favorite embossing folder in her line. The star branches were cut with a Sue Wilson die out of foil card stock from Create and Craft. A pearl was added to the center of the branches. A very thin ribbon runs along the bottom.
A close-up of the vintage German embossed cut.

Viva Las VegaStamps August Challenge

Good Morning Ladies,
It seems really dark this morning. I am reminded that the days are now getting shorter. I don't know that I am ready for that.
The card for today is Viva Las VegaStamps August Challenge
Here is the challenge and rules....
We are inspiring you with words like bold, BRIGHT, intuitive, strong, women, feminine, ARTIST, artsy, splatter, script, polka dots, color blocks, numbers, alphas, pinkteal, lime green, white, black, stencils and more.

Don't forget the rules:
-Create a new project based on our inspiration board (it has to be posted this month, but you can certainly link up to other challenges as well!)
-Use at least one (but certainly more if you want) Viva Las VegaStamps! rubber stamps
(We are now allowing competitors stamps to be on your work, but please make VLVS! the focus of the project, thank you.)
-Post it to your blog with a link back to us
-Upload to our linky using your direct blog post link (You may also upload via facebook, flickr or other gallery)
Here is a link to the challenge.... http://vivalas.blogspot.com/2016/08/august-challenge.html
So I had a lot of fun creating this card for the challenge. I am enjoying my Dylusions paint. I started with a piece of Bristol paper. I finger painted with the Dylusions paint onto the Bristol paper using the three colors for the challenge. I next went to my Viva Las VegaStamps grab bags to look for an interesting female stamp. The modern face was perfect for this challenge. She is so cool. I came across the beach scene while I was looking and thought it was just right for the color scheme and the girl face. Both Viva Las VegaStamps. The star stamp and the camera stamp are from Heidi Swapp. I chose the star stamp because it says super for super star. It made me think of a model on the beach. All the images were stamped with Archival ink. The final step was to use a Joggles stencil to add the swirls to the card. This was done with a make-up sponge and dye ink in teal.
A close-up of the super star.

I was up a little early this morning. I am working on a raffle basket for the dog show next weekend. It will be done today and will be dropped off.
The project for today is Dog Agility Light Switch Cover

The light switch cover was unfinished wood and purchased from Menards. It was finger painted with Dylusions paints in two colors. The agility A-frame tunnel combo image is from Dog Stamps Plus. The dog image is from Katzel Krafts. Both images were stamped on watercolor paper and colorized with watercolors. They were then hand cut and adhered to the switch cover. The paw print image is from Inkadinkado and was stamped in Archival ink. This switch cover was sealed with Spectra Fix sealer. This is a new product to me. I purchased it from https://www.joggles.com/paint-dye-and-ink/paint-and-dye-accessories/spectrafix-fixative.htm I do quite a bit of shopping for art supplies at Joggles. They have a lot of mixed media stuff and always at a discount. This switch plate cover will end up in a raffle basket in the near future.

Sheena Douglass Mystery Birthday

Good Morning Ladies,
It seems very quiet around here this morning. That must mean the dogs are up to something. They like to keep me on my toes.
The card for today is Sheena Douglass Mystery Birthday
The background of this card was created using the Gel Press and three Dylusions paints. The haunted ship is an image from Sheena Douglass. I saw somewhere on the net where they stamped on tissue paper and added it to a card. I used to do this technique with candles. So I thought I would give it a try. I did not have tissue paper within reach so I decided to use deli paper that was in reach. I stamped the ship on deli paper with Archival ink. The image was then torn out. I adhered it to the background with PPA from US Art Quest. It was then colorized with watercolors. The sentiment at the top is also from Sheena Douglass.
The inside sentiment is from the Stamps of Life.

Gel Press Butterfly Flight Card and Matching Envelope

Good Morning Ladies,
I had a restful weekend, but also got a lot done in the house. And I had creative time. It was a good weekend.
The project for today is Gel Press Butterfly Flight Card and Matching Envelope
The background of this card was created with the Gel Press. Dylusions paints were used. A pop cap was used to create the circles on the Gel Press. The flowery grass image is an image from Sheena Douglass. It was stamped with black Archival ink. The sentiment is from CTMH. The butterfly images are from Stampendous. They were stamped on glossy card stock and stippled with dye ink. They were then cut with the matching die set.
The matching envelope was created using the left over paint on the brayer after rolling it across the Gel Press. Usually this is rolled off on deli paper but I wondered how it would look rolled straight onto an envelope. I love the way it looks. A butterfly was stamped directly on the envelope so the colors show through. A white gel ink pen was used to create the space for the address.

Tattered Lace Fabulous

Good Morning Ladies,
I had a great day yesterday. A friend came over and we stamped together. We usually do a lot of chatting and eating. We both made two cards yesterday. I think we felt pretty good about that.
The card for today is Tattered Lace Fabulous
So my friend is a Tattered Lace groupie. She loves Tattered Lace dies and brought these two dies on this card. I had to use them I thought they were so cool. They are cut from pink and black card stock. I used  a Frou Frou stamp set from Crafter's Companion for the sentiment and the little white flowers. Pearls were used to complete the necklace. A gold pen was used to create the clasp on the purse.
 A close-up of the sentiment.
This is the inside sentiment stamped on a Spellbinders die cut with pearls added to the end of each side.
